Just wondering what everyone is paying for there hoildays , as i have spoke to many people who have paid crazy prices for there holidays, i know holidays have went up in price over the last few years but i have always managed to great deals every where i go, wondering if anyone out there has got a better deal than i did for this years holiday?

I really wouldn't expect anybody to start quoting £ & P. We all have a different idea of what is cheap what is reasonable and what is expensive. At the end of the day it's what you the individual are happy with that counts. Suffice it to say that any price to get to
Icmeler is worth it in my book.
Cheers, Happy Days

I agree with that silver. If I added up my seperate bookings i.e. for apartment, flights,
transfer and such, I probably paid over what a package would be. But I don't care.

We go to
Icmeler every June & Sept. Always book flight only to get flight times that suit us and book accommodation direct with owners. Like Silverbeard says might not always work out as cheap as a package but worth it to us to get what we want. Been home 2 weeks and already on countdown to our return on 2nd Sept. Already booked for June & Sept next year too!!

Booked today for next year 17 nights with flight paid £383. I have a studio for sole use so I think this is a great deal.
Price match with
ICR is good booked accommodation with them today.

Have to agree with Silverbeard and Sami the cost is what you are comfortable with. There are great deals to be had if you are prepared to surf the net, having said that we do D I Y every year but still have to look for the cheapest flights .

For flights, accommodation, transfers and insurance for 4 of us (2 adults, 2 lads at 14yo) we paid £1,300 booking separately. This included great flight times and luxury private transfers to/from
Dalaman and a room at the Ekinci Palace for 15 nights.
The cheapest package we could find which included stock transfers, rubbish flight times and no insurance was £1,650.
Skyscanner for flights and hotels4u for the accommodation (if it's wrong for me to mention that, please delete).
If we had been able to book when I first checked the flights (had to wait til I got paid) we could have got it for £1,200.

Well there's 6 of us, for August this year, flights only just booked so a lot more expensive, but 6 flights, 20 kg's each, pre booked seats all next to each other, and 2 apartments.... total = £2,995.
Sounds a lot, but bear in mind we booked for 2 of us last year, a package deal, and that was £1,230 for 2 of us! So even with late flights that's still cheaper than a package deal done 6 months prior!!!
Had we paid the flights at the same time of booking the Accomadation it would have cost less than £2,000 for all of us.
So, we will again be booking for next year with ICR. Don't think we'll ever do package again knowing how much we can save!!!

We booked flights with fly t.....c... for 4 last October and it was just under £1000. This includes 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage.
Accomodation of 2 apartments was £336 in total.
Transfers were £55 for us all.
In total : £1391.
Not bad for 2 weeks from 25thAugust to 8thSeptember.
Great flights also. 7am departure from Glasgow arriving 13,35.
Departing
Dalaman 23.35. Picked late flight home to have extra day in resort. Also we will have meal before leaving
Icmeler and avoid crazy Dalaman prices

Thanks everyone, i booked flights from
Glasgow with Jet2.com allocated seats 22 kg and 10 kg hand luggage, accomadation and transfers with holidaynites.com, good flight times as last year with Thomas cook had terrible flight times.there is 6 adults and 1 child we have 3 rooms in
hotel and are all inclusive going for 11 nights total cost £3300, i thought this was fandabby dozzy for the time of year we are flying, as we paid similar prices for self catering in Portugal in April and that was s/c.We fly out 20th July , 13 more sleeps

That is a very good price GG Cut. My holiday for next year is cheaper than this years for an extra 2 nights going at the same as last year staying at the same apartments.

lol GG Cuts I do a boat trip every other day as the heat is too much and i love the boat trips, done that many this year i was getting mistaken for the crew! You know when you have a good suntan when other holiday makers ask you what cream/oil you are using and you are browner than the boat trip crew. Enjoy your holiday GG

I didn't read all the replies yet but just a thought of my own
I have worked all my life brought up 3 children (two of them still wont leave home) I have a grand child and another on the way
I am the same as every other person in the world, we all need to work to live but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
It did not matter what job I had or how much I earned, I gave my family and myself the best I could afford
If a Lada car was going to cost me £1,000 and I knew it was crap then I would save for my once in a year thing and buy something
There is lots of ways to say this but for want of a better word and shoot me if you want but I have never gone for the cheap option, thinking "you get what you pay for"
I have have been lucky to take my family away over the years through hard work and made sure that they were treated the best and hopefully will look after them this way till I die (or they leave home)

I so agree - life is for now

It's horses for courses really, what the price is doesn't matter that much at all to me, it's what you want to get from your holiday and I don't think you can really put a value on that. Personally, I wouldn't go AI in Icmeler, but that's just me, so to pay out for that wouldn't be on my radar, the only difference to B&B and SC is a fridge for us, so again, it's not that important what the price is. We've stayed in
Icmeler and paid £30 for 2 weeks accomodation for 2 of us, we've also paid £380 for the same length of time at the same time of year - because that's what we wanted from each of those holidays. We won't stay again at the £30 hotel, but that wasn't about the quality of the accomodation, it was about the attitude of the people there. We decide what we want from our time then look for what fits that, we wouldn't stay in the old village in August for example cause we don't want to walk so far in the August heat, but we would in September.
Suffice to say we pay enough to have a brilliant time, but not so much that we can't afford to go back (and I realise we are very lucky to be able to afford more than one holiday a year). My dad made a comment to my brother about his holiday in May, we both went away for the same 2 weeks in May, he took his kids to Florida - my dad said he could have had 2 years of holidays for the price of that one if he did what I do, true, but Florida is their Icmeler and they save so they can spend a couple of grand doing what they want to do.
I don't think the price is important at all, it's how that holiday makes you feel - and you can't put a value on that

Couldn't agree more JT, I've worked and saved hard this year to get all 6 of us to Turkey, against the odds, with short hours and having to replace one car and pay for another to be fixed.
Although price does have to come into it sometimes, we've gone with recommendations this year.
We're happy with what we've paid, and to me it's all about the kids. Will be my first holiday abroad with my daughter, and Anita's 2 kids have never flown. Last year was about me and Anita, this year it's all about the kids.
32 days and counting

hi all when i first started going to
icmeler 13 years ago i would search constantly on teletext etc for the best deal i could get sometimes dropping onto some cracking deals, however since several holiday and airline companies went bust leaving people in a real mess i have booked each year now as a complete package as this seems to afford you the best protection if anything happens fair enough i could probably save a few pounds by booking hotel, flights transfers seperate but i dont want to take the risk and this years holiday has cost about twenty pounds per person more than last years to the same
hotel same airline/transfers and this was booked straight after xmas so not a massive price hike considering everything seems to of gone up this year,so for myself and the wife its cost around £480.00 pounds each for two lovely weeks great flight times departing on the 27th of august i dont consider this to be expensive .

my daughters are back today, they got day flights both ways with luggage 2ads 2 ch £210 each accomadation £80 per apt tranfers for £10 each total £960 a bargain,we do it that way every year,it would have been cheaper but for a certain company going bump

We first stayed in
Icmeler about 7 years ago, a 1 week hol of the net for £155. The following year we booked same apts The Bal 2 weeks for £305, this unfortunatly the Bal has increased in price so we no longer afford it, so we stay else were, this year we have paid £326 each for 27th sept 10nights at Club Tokmak near the market, i have been looking around for next year and the various tour operators have increased there prices quite alot, it is getting to the stage now were it may be cheaper to book everything seperate myself
