Bus to Armutalan

Would like to know which bus and where to get from to go to Armutalan please

The bus to get to Armutlan is the number 2 or the number 3 dependent on which part of Armutulan you wanted to go to. Both buses can be caught in the main centre of marmaris.

How long does it take to get to Armutulan and what is there?

It doesnt take long to get to Armutulan. If you get a dolmus say around the Point Centre in Marmaris then the journey to Armutulan will only take around 10+ mins. The terminus is in Armutulan Square. Theres a few nice bars and restaurants in the Square itself, for example, Mustis Fun Pub but you only need to walk for a few minutes and you will come to the main Adnan Menderes Cad. Theres loads of bars/restaurants right along that street.

Alternatively you can go from Icmeler right along to the Old Tansas and get a dolmus there. That will take you another route but you will still end up in Armutulan but along the other side. Hope this helps.

We have been to Icmeler for 10 years now and love to visit different places on the local buses/dolmus.

Of course we are on our main holiday and want to be by the sea on our visits. The furthest that we have been is Akyaka via Mugla (by mistake)

Could you recommend any other local bus routes to visit such places?

Morph the only dolmas that can be got at Point Centre is the Icmeler dolmas or the Siteler bus. The dolmas's going to Armutulan no longer travel past Point Centre so best place to get them is at the main Centre where the new fountains are.

Apologies for not responding sooner to your post. I have only just noticed it. I cant offer you much help in the way of travelling further by dolmus as we generally do organised trips (except for local routes when we use the dolmus) but hopefully you will get some feedback from others on the forum.

Laney - thank you for the info. We had planned visiting Armutulan from icmeler in a few weeks time and had in my mind to catch a dolmus at Point Centre. Thanks to you we will just look for the new fountains and get a dolmus from there.
