Where to eat ?

Postby CARYL » 29 May 2012 18:27

Could anybody reccommed which Restaurants to eat in please.

This is 2nd time to Icmeler and we are staying in the Old Town.
Any suggestions for Restaurants on the beach front would also be welcome.

Thank you

You can eat anywhere as I've never had a bad meal in any of the places I've ate at the two times I've been. Ones I would recommend is déjà vu, three bells, buffalo bar, wembly bar, friends, tintins. There is a Chinese we tried in October which was very nice which do an all you can eat Buffett sort thing but I can't remember the name.

But like I said, I've never had a bad meal anywhere where we've ate so give most of them a try.
Hope you have a good time

Thank you for your reply. Have been to De Ja Vue, Tandoori Sizzler, Sidiks, Waterfall, Wayside, Venice, Cubana... and I must say that every single one of them were excellent.

I will certainely be returning to most of them but would also like to try some different places too, so any reccommedations would be appreciated.

I have heard there is a lovely Restaurant on the front and they have a jetty that you can dine on....anybody know the name of that ??

I did see really good reviews about a Chinese Restaurant on here...but cant remember the name and cant find the thread now... :-/

Thank you

The restaurant on the beach front with the jetty is Libertys. Its next to where the stella show is. Nice food but you may need to make a reservation as there are only a few tables.

It depends what you fancy on the night. We have enjoyed everything from Egg & Chips at Cafe Ann's to authentic Turkish food at Kerem on the canal and at Selam which is down one of the side streets near Selen 2.

Hanedan Ocakbasi has superb Turkish food and is well worth seeking out, not that its too hard to find. As the others have said, in six years, we have never had a bad meal or bad meal experience other than a coupe of colder than normal nights at the Waterfall.

Hi Caryl

If you are up in the old village, why not give Cafe Rose a try. Beautiful food and a lovely atmosphere.
You have a welsh name Caryl, where are you from, and when do you go to Icmeler?

You should try the Love Star, opposite Wembley. The food there is excellent. :D

If you are staying in the old village then Tommy's is great for food and entertainment, a great selection of food drinks and very reasonable, and the staff are very friendly also on Wed. nights there is a Music Quiz followed by Karaoke. Great atmosphere.
