Rate Today And All Money Questions

I exchanged some money in M&S today at the rate of 2.84 to the £

Took the plunge and ordered £500 of lira at 2.8681 today,from www.iceplc.com - free home delivery if you order £500 or over, thought it was quite a good deal. If the rate goes up again might be tempted to buy some more soon.

Today's rate with TravelFX is 2.753 which is really good compared to all the other online currency exchanges.....think I'll order some more lira

Rates are sitting pretty over here today

2.79 from the PO, 2.83 in TravelFX.

Shame we're not ordering as much as £500 to get that great rate from TravelFX but i'll take the 2.79 from the PO every day of the week

We're not travelling until September JT. If we were going within the next few weeks I would just hold off, but the rate could slump by quite a bit in the next 4 months so I thought I would grab it at that rate while we could.

Incidentally, we went in to the PO round our way and they only offered us 2.56! Needless to say, we passed on that and got 2.79 from RBS as my missus banks with them.

I understand what you say and I would also get my money at the resort but the problem with some of us is our banks charge fees for every transaction abroad on debit cards.

Take Sterling travelers cheques, Insured against loss/theft and they will be exchanged for the same rate as Cash.....
Some banks don't charge for Sterling cheques.....M&S charge 1%, but as I say depends on your account.
Still better than Atm charges

Dear Steve, please excuse my ignorance but how do I get travelers cheques?, as you can tell I dont travel much!
