Tried to book Spain 4 years ago and could not get a good deal so decided to try Turkey. Travel agent had been to Icmeler so said we should try it, so glad we did. Third visit coming up soon and will never go anywhere else

When my parents split up when I was 16, myself and my mum decided to grab a last minute girls holiday away for a week! We booked online on a Wednesday and flew out on the Friday :)

We were booked to stay in Marmaris (not having a clue where in the world that was!) but ended up being moved to Icmeler due to an over-booking at the hotel in Marmaris. Needless to say we fell in love with Icmeler and returned twice more in the following 8 weeks :)

10 years on and we still love the place!! There isn't a place on earth like it!

Icmeler was recommended to us by a friend when we were looking for somewhere to spend our honeymoon in 2006. Loved it so much that we have been back each year since... :D

We had 4 long haul holidays in the years prior to 2009.
Maureen said to me can we go somewhere closer this year, looked at Greece/Spain but the Euro wasn't very healthy, never fancied Turkey, don't even know how I ended up on this site - but am I pleased I did.

Booked 2 weeks at the Blue Rainbow through John & Sharon.
Came twice in 2010, just once in 2011as we had a medical false alarm in the middle of the year and ended up spending a week in Scotland (very nice but not Icmeler). We have booked a week in May and 2 weeks in September this year.

We are not the longest standing members but Love the place, not really interested in going anywhere else.

Wife & I went to Marmaris in Oct 2011, 1st time there and in between rain showers we thought we would take a taxi boat to Icmeler and are we glad we did, it was a glorious sunny day, we walked along the pathway by the beach, sadly never ventured into the town but we fell in love with it there and then and decided this would be the place for our holiday home this year.
Soon after arriving back home we searched and found ICR, booked 2 weeks at the Efendi hotel for June and now counting the days to see if we have found a little bit of heaven.

Should have been going to Lanzarote ! but at the last minute holiday got cancelled. twelve years on and still going two or three times a year ! i still cant come to Icmeler without my sons, who are now grown up and now have families of their own. Thank goodness that holiday disaster that could have been gave me the courage to book somewhere different and we love it :D

My sister was the reason i went to Icmeler as she had been before with her husband. I did have reservations about going to Turkey but i had such a great time that i have been every year since 2000( except 2002) and have now been 19 times. :D
I have also introduced friends to Icmeler and they love it as much as i do.
Roll on June :D

after getting really annoyed with the bad/rude service we recieved when we went on holiday to spain, we decided to try turkey. to be honest i really didnt fancy turkey  but when a friend of my oh suggested it we thought why not it couldn't be any worse. he said you wouldn't find nicer people than those found in icmeler and how anybody who went fell in love with the place. and boy was he right. 3rd year in a row for us and we have also brought lots of friends with us these past few years, who also fell in love with it . 43 sleeps to go :D :D

We had never been abroad until 4 years ago. Just didn't fancy it. We decided to try it and my friend Geraldine, who has been to Marmaris too many times to remember, suggested Turkey, we thought 'why not'.
First trip was to Side. Very nice.
Came back and other half was out with daughter and popped into travel agents.
Came back with a holiday to Icmeler for 3 months time.
Best thing he ever done.
All 3 of us had a ball, but daughter never wanted to go with us again, went away with pals/boyfriend.
She is now coming back with us in August with her fiance and also my sister is joining us for the 2nd time.
We all love the place and , although it's the only place I've ever been, I don't want to go anywhere else.
Might even go twice next year :D :D :D :D :D

My sister in law had visited a couple of times with her mum, her and my brother invited me along to celebrate their first wedding anniversary 14 years ago. Returned a good few times before circumstance didn't allow for about 6 years, then returned with a vengance a few years ago and have done 2 or 3 times a year since. This year a colleagues family have booked her a holiday as a surprise - she's going to Turkey for the first time and is gutted to be going to Marmaris! She's asked me to write her a 2 week itinery so she can see everything Icmeler has to offer - including where to get the dolmus from where she's staying! Bless her :D

20 years ago, myself and a boyfriend decided on Turkey for our first holiday abroad together. We booked Icmeler and I just fell in love with the place. Binned the boyfriend and have been going back ever since, though not every year. Myself and my sister went to Marmaris a couple of years later and though it was good for a girls drinking holiday, I vowed I would not stay there again (though it is great for a boozy night out).

Icmeler is my paradise on earth and no matter what other destinations I try out including Cuba last year, I will always have at least one week there to recoup. It feels like a home from home when I walk around the streets and see familiar friends and go to my fave places to eat, drink, people watch

I am introducing 4 friends this year, 3 in June and 1 in July. I just know they will love it and hopefully encourage them to return too.

We were in need of a holiday last June and Turkey came up cheap through Jet2, hadn't been before never fancied it but the offers for Dalyan or Icmeler were too good to pass up on.

Decided on Icmeler as we had heard of it and people who had been said to snap up the deal as its was wonderful.
We read a lot about the place (mainly through this excellent site & forum), and have to say upon arriving we instantly 'got it'.
Loved the place & the people was without one of the best holidays we'd ever had and regretted waiting so long to try Turkey.
This August we are going to Dalyan as we wanted to try it after nearly going instead of Icmeler and the boat trip we took made us want to give it a try.

However we are planning a big family holiday for a special birthday next summer and no other place was even give a though, Icmeler it is.
There will be children & at least 4 people who haven't been to Turkey before so we knew Icmeler was the place for them.

Really looking forward to Dalyan but we are slightly regretting not going back to Icmeler, loving JT & Barnies photo's of the place over the last few months.
