Icmeler Residency - Police Station etc

Hey guys,

Need to pick some brains, so got a few questions:

If I want to stay in Icmeler and apply for residency do i need to go to Icmeler police station or the marmaris police station?

Where is the tax office and/or council office that you need to go to?

Do you have to actually have a rental agreement when you apply for residency, or could you be staying in hotels? (just incase of not finding anywhere suitable).

Has anyone gone through the residency permit situation recently that can tell me literally step by step what happened, I feel I just do not understand, and the more i think i do, the more i realise I dont, and i would really like to KNOW what i am doing when I get there rather than just feeling like I know nothing... arrrggghh! Hope that made sense.

Firstly you need a permanent residence as in a place where you will get a rental aggreement/contract from your landlord which is a legal document.

You then have to take it to the council offices in Icmeler who will then verify your address and that you are living there and it is only then that you have to start all the other procedures.

The Police station was the main one in Marmaris

John, you have just brought a question to my mind. Is there a police station in Icmeler? In all my wanders and meanderings in the resort, I can't recall ever seeing one, in fact, I have rarely seen the polis!

Yes there is a police station in Icmeler, it is near th LFC bar. Where cafe Anne is on the main road it's on the other side of the canal.
