Turkish Sim Card

Does anyone have a turkish sim card, if so could you please tell me what the prices are for texting back to the UK, and how much it cost to call (though probably cheaper to get a call card).

Also once I have registered a turkish phone/simcard, when i come back to england will it work it I put my english sim card back in?

I am also just considering staying on o2 and getting free international texts as i get this if top up £10 every month, but didnt know if there was a cheaper way, or if anyone knows any cheaper better deals with other network providers?

Have you thought about either Skype or Viber..... there are plenty of bars that have Free WiFi.. so long as you and the other person has a Smart Phone ie Android , Apple or Blackberry then the calls to the other mobiles are FREE. You are using Wi Fi in Turkey and they are using their Internet Data in England. Just make sure Data roaming is switched off, otherwise you will have a very large bill. Viber can be used to Text.

I may be wrong, but I believe that by "Free International Texts" they will mean From UK to other countries, not the other way round.

I have a turkish sim card
its a complicated process
best thing to do is unlock an old english phone and get it transferred to a turkish phone while over there
this takes about a week to open and must be registered on a british passport
I am on turkish vodafone and its 40kr for a text to someone else turkish or 55kr to a UK phone back in the UK
