Have to agree with JT. Had a wonderful meal in the Demirciogli last year and i had fillet steak. Would think it was one of the best meals we had in Icmeler last year. P.S. Very reasonably priced when you think of the location.

Y'know after reading through these responses it has made me realise that I tend to always go back to what I know. I need to get out more!!
There is always that situation when you try somewhere new and its nowhere near as good as somewhere you always go. You end up comparing all the time. I have heard so many good things about Sidiks Family Restaurant and think that I will try this, this year.

For fillet steak it has to be the Champagne bar, in my opinion this is the best and i have tried the fillet steaks in the following restaurants:
Vinces
Venice
Florida
Cupids
Broadway
Holiday
Deja Vu
Captain Bullsh@ts
Charlies
and probably a lot more but i can remember the names, but will definitely try Sdiks this year, all those recommending Sidiks, was it the fillet steak you had there?

I've eaten steak in quite a few restaurants in Icmeler, the ones that stand out were from Set Steak House and the Lighthouse, both were superb, both T bones.

My Dad had one from Titanic a couple of years ago and it was a tough as an old boot, probably just a one off but it was lousy.

Well I've certainly set everyone's palate's racing with this thread.

Certainly a lot of suggestions to try, not sure i'll manage them all in a week but if your there in May and see a slightly rotund Geordie who's sprouted hooves and horns you know I gave it a good go ;)

We should have a 'Best Steak In Town' Award, ICR verified, most votes on the board by the end of the season wins :-p

Thanks for all the replies anyway

mmmmm, thats got my mouth watering.
For us the Venice and the Majestic, Their steaks with black pepper sauce are to die for.
Another question anyone had a steak as good as Icmelers in Britian?

You might get a steak in the UK which is as good as Icmeler - but at what price? Certainly not for the same price.

I know, eating steak out in a restaurant over here is well over priced and unless you pay over the odds its never cooked as you like it. In Icmeler at least most restaurants are trying to please as they want your repeat custom. I do find in the UK that staff just can't be bothered!!

I have done this before and really hoped I wouldnt have to again. JT feel free to delete. I work for Whitbread for 8 years and work for Beefeater grill and we do as we say.Daytime we do a rump for £6.99 and upgrade to sirloin for £8.99. We do a fillet for £15.99.Steak platters. Whatever you want in the way of steak and its chargrilled and excellent. And if for one moment you dont like it you will get a full refund.
I love Icmeler!!!!! I do B&B always and eat out every night but I seriously do not think you will get a better or more reasonably priced steak there than you will here.My other halfs best was at Harrys and a fillet. I am an expert so to speak as I constantly try the various cuts and cook offs.In my opinion we have possibly the best in the world with Aberdeen Angus. But Ilove the food in Icmeler.....just not the steak.

Sorry Ju Ju have to disagree there as the fillet steak i was served at Whitbreads (portsmouth)was not a patch on the one i was served at the Champagne bar, forgot to add on early review Lighthouse was also very good. Do Whitbread use different suppliers as this could be an issue. But i dont live too far from Chandlers ford so i will be willing to take up the big steak challenge.

hiya

i cant really say where i have had the best steak or which is my favourite place to eat as every time i have one it is just as good as the previous one, and i have eaten quite a few in the last 4 years since discovering icmeler, and no doubt i will be finding out how good other ones are in september. (*****cattle beware*****)
i don`t even think i have had a meal anywhere that i did`nt enjoy!
