Its cold tonight so I went to bed early.
Unable to sleep my mind begins to wander about my holidays in Icmeler.
In my mind I can walk down the side of the canal and over the bridges,
all the bridges are lit up with their twinkling lights,looking like something out of a fairytale.
The stall holders are busy selling their wares after frantic bargaining with eager tourists.
I can peer into the Venice, Majestic and Dreamboys people are having so much fun singing and dancing on the bars.
I stroll along the promenade, its so hot today maybe go for a swim later in the sea, but for the moment I think I will call into the Kontes restaurent and have an icecream and watch the people walk by.
I have had my shower, changed into my best bib and tucker and am now ready to hit the town.
Maybe dinner at the Florida and a dance at the Deniz Kapisi,maybe go and see the Stella Show at the Harmony.

Lovely story Gene. Can't believe I was there this time last week in the lovely sunshine doing just that.
Walking down the canal to the beach, having a dip and drinking an efes while catching the sun. Its like being in heaven.
Came back Monday to the stark reality of wintertime and work. Still, Christmas is not far away and then it won't be long to Easter and then before you know it will be Summer again and we can all look forward to our holidays again.
I hope that thought and all my memories of Icmeler will keep me going through the long cold winter until I go again.

Lovely Gene, I can see the canal from my balcony well I could and what a lovely sight it was, oh well there's always next year!
