I think it because we go back time after time, we are getting a bit fed up with the same old same old, think most off the acts just need to revamp there acts

Traditional Turk folk songs are beautiful and most Turk men (in my experience) can sing them and sing them well. Their voices just seem to be made for these songs. Sends shivers down your spine and brings a tear to the eye. I could sit and listen all night.
Oh and they're not all sad songs, there's some really good lively ones too. :-)

In Icmeler we have an Irish bar with .....Michael Jackson and Turkish waiters dancing!!!. I would love to see something more traditional in an irish bar such as Teirnas in Marmaris. Also Faros have a great turkish guy called Muco singing live music every night, he is really popular and claims to know 10 000 songs, anything from ronan keating to aerospace. Id love a few more Mucos around Icmeler. the grease show has run its course along with tina turner and thank god Firat has stopped the waiters doing that silly swan lake act.

In November we went to Benidorm for 4 nights and each night we had the oppertunity to see a diffrent act each night depending on our mood, liverly, quiet even comedy. It would be nice to have some themed bars, traditional turkish, soft rock 60 70 80's even a rock and roll bar would be nice. I would hate to lose the all singing all dancing waiters as most are very good but a variety would be nice. A lot of the acts in Benidorm are British so maybe it is something to do with work visa's in Turkey, but I would definatly give the thumbs up to more themed bars.

I'm with dragon on that one. If you want Benidorm-style entertainment, irish bars, etc etc - go to Benidorm. Keep Icmeler as it is. I'd hate for it to go down that line - or even turn into a mini-Marmaris.

After sixteen years.the dancing waiters,Michael,Tina,Freddie,Robot man and the street dancers all start to get a bit samey.we like anything that is different [Murfit is definitely different all his songs sound the same]our favourite is to find a bar with nice background music, good company, soft seats, and watch the street theatre that is Icmeler at night.Bliss.

I would also hate for Icmeler to become another Benidorm and I'm sorry :( if I gave that impression, what I was trying to say was it would be nice to have some choice I would love to be able to see more live music, it works in other resorts in Turkey.

I would quite happily pay to see some decent entertainment, and I would love to see the Whirling Dervishes. The only show we go to regularly is the Stella Show, and at least that changes each year. The Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, etc ,routines are definitely getting boring. It's time for a change.

I've enjoyed watching live bands in the Fess Bar and others in Icmeler over the last few years.

Some live music would be good, not pounding loud, but a variety of styles, played well, could even be University students on summer holidays, paying their way by playing in bars - I'd be happy to pay a bit of a premium to be entertained on a couple of nights per week.

It's the boom - boom loud disco style where you can't talk, bars fighting with each other for volume, or the samey dancers that make me fed up - 22 Turkish holidays in different resorts over fifteen years, and I'm really fed up with drag dancers with balloons - old hat !

All inclusive normally brings a better entertainment programme - both for kids and adults!

Just my honest thoughts - and yes, at 57, I still play drums in a British covers band, and have seen excellent Turkish bands providing good music for tourists !

The Bobby Kent show is also brilliant - I like a bit of variety as well !

Icmeler needs a venue like this as well as Marmaris! Keep the money in the resort !

we don't go to bars for the entertainment, (although the wife does like karaoke), we just enjoy the atmosphere in mant of the bard where you can sit and watch the world go by while chatting to each other. If entertainment does come on however we will watch it, and have enjoyed many over the years.

Good idea Sue but JT has to much of a start.
We still like the Karaoke when good singers are on.

The shows are a part of our holiday and sorry peeps i like them! They are what makes Icmeler, along with the tunes that we all know off by heart at the end of our jollies! My favourite act are the breakdancers who manage to tweak their act enough to still have the surprise element :D
