If the £ strengthens or the Lira weakens it is good news for the exchange rate. One of the reasons why the rate is so good at the moment is because Turkey’s Central Bank at the beginning of August lowered its interest rate by half a percentage point to an all-time low and so made the Lira weaker. It had been expected a few months ago that our interest rate would go up which would also have been good news as it would have strengthened the £ but it's obvious that this isn't going to happen for quite a while.
With so much bad news in our economy I'd be very surprised if the exchange rate goes back up but then, the Turkey Central Bank could lower their rates further, it's all swings and roundabouts. The highest rate I found today was 2.761 with Ice.
I haven't got a crystal ball Jay and if I did I'd be very rich by now

Hope this info helps.
