You could ask JT.

:?

Re: Does anyone know

18 Sep 2011 15:41

we were also told this whilst staying at Bonjour, but not sure if that is the case.

Re: Does anyone know

18 Sep 2011 15:47

Yes we were told this by the guy at the Bonjor when we were looking around the resort in August for some where to stay next year

Re: Does anyone know

18 Sep 2011 15:57

we where also told this in july, have to book direct

Re: Does anyone know

18 Sep 2011 17:07

Totally correct and we are trying to make a person change his ways and attitude to people in general and at the moment 99% of people are realising what is happening and telling them that they will not book direct.

If we do end up not dealing with them then it makes no difference to us as we sell more than one accommodation but it would be nice if we could just make that change in something to make EVERYONE who stays there a better place to be

I told him that I booked 3 weeks for next year and he told me I'd lost my deopsit . Because he was not dealing with ICR and told me to ask for my money back. I did go into ICR and tell them what he told me . But they said they was stll working on contracts with him. But while I was still there his brother said 100 percent ferrat wasn't going to use ICR . A little bit of concern cos I've already booked for next year
:?:

Well I think it will be Bonjours loss if they dont improve for next year and use Icmeleronline, because we have all seen the reduction in tourists this year, and I reckon next year will be worse !! Less and less of my friends are going abroad.

Pat

You should have no concern at all

If you have booked Bonjour with ICR and want your money back if we don't deal with them in 2012 then of course you can have it back

Re: Does anyone know

I'm not concerned John. I think the mans of his trolly. All I could see in his eyes was pound signs. Plenty more places to stay.

Re: Does anyone know

I had several lovely meals in Bonjour when I was there in May/June and I am returning next week, however, I may need to seriously rethink where I dine as having read these comments I don't know that I want to patronise such a place. :(

Re: Does anyone know

20 Sep 2011 20:14

If you think these comments are bad you should read the holiday feedbacks on the bonjour. I was already put off by the service we received in August/September but after reading one feedback he will be lucky if he gets any other customers.

Re: Does anyone know

its a shame the hotel is lovely and the apartments we loved staying their when alex was their but we stayed last year and hated it that much we spent all our time at the chateau the manager is a horrible man and the staff not much better their are plenty of hotels to choise from i wont miss it

Re: Does anyone know

21 Sep 2011 11:10

Sorry JT I am concerned and fully understand why your in talks to see if this place is worth keeping on your books, Im booked up, yes you do sell other apartment but how many central 2 bedroom modern apartments is there,

When will we find out if we are still getting the Bonjour, Is it my understanding we will only get a refund, if talks fail at the Bonjour so we are in limbo
First my flights went bust, now I may or may not be getting my apartments, this shouldnt have came out in a forum, Bonjour bookings should have been emailed or texted
I away to tell my mum there maybe another change off plans

Re: Does anyone know

21 Sep 2011 12:59

Actually you are correct it should not have been discussed on here but as the manager is telling our guests that he is not dealing with us for 2012 then they brought it up on here as he is trying to get people to book direct

What they do not know is he has told us that he is doing away with the apartments and turning them into hotel rooms as for some reason they think that people who stay self catering do not eat in the restaurant

All true so how can we work with a place that we already have bookings for apartments and then they get rid of the apartments.

Fee please feel free to continue this with me by email

Thanks

Gutted, first we loose the flights now the apartments, it would have been 1st holiday in 4 years and so looking forward to it. It obviously wasn't meant to be. Better start working on Plan B.

Re: Does anyone know

stayed at the bonjour last year had a good holiday could have been better wife was on crutchs didnt go this year because daughter gets married next year we were going to book the bonjour for next year but this changes things, when we stayed it took ferrat all his time to speak to you,so what if you you want to go and eat-out in other restaurant thats part of the fun of been on holiday, you should not be hassled by the staff to eat in his resaurant, and heaven help you if he catches you with food or drink in your room you have not bought of him.

Re: Does anyone know

22 Sep 2011 16:17

We have stayed in Bonjour many times whilst Hassan was the owner and it was brilliant - Hassan really made you welcome... not the same without him I am afraid.

Re: Does anyone know

22 Sep 2011 17:13

I think that the hassling you get to eat in the restaurant is probably because you're a captive audience on the premises. I found that the hassling from restaurants was worse this year than recent years. I wondered if the police were turning a blind eye because there were less people around and most were spending less so it was difficult for a lot of restaurants. I suppose desperate times, desperate measures.

It's a shame though for the Bonjour to lose it's good reputation as it always seemed to have positive things said about it but they only have themselves to blame (or one person to blame!).

Re: Does anyone know

Having stayed at the Bonjour the last two years the owner Ferhat and his staff are all polite friendly people,on our last visit he would come and sit with us and tell us his plans to improve the Bonjour and make peoples holidays even better.
On the hassle side of the business there was no pressure to eat in the Bonjour every night, during our last time there we ate 3 times in the Bonjour as it was probably in the top 3 restaurants in Icmeler.
Good luck to Ferhat with the improvements and we would have no hesitation in booking direct next year. So don't be put off booking the Bonjour by some of the negative reviews.
