SCOTTISH FLIGHTS

Postby JT » 18 Aug 2011 10:58

www.flythomascook have just dropped their flight prices for 2012 to what I think are good prices

Good on them for thinking at last

Don't forget £20 per person deposit for your accommodation from us for 2012

Looks like the good people of the North East are subsidizing it.

Flights for 3 from Manchester next August £800 same flights from Newcastle £1700

Already got my flights for May/June with Easyjet from Bristol, but Sept prices are showing as £543.96 before adding luggage from Cardiff.

That's shocking - how can they justify those kind of prices!

Manchester flights with Monarch for the beginning of September 2012 (for two weeks) for two people £505, although dearer than the Aegean flights we lost, I thought not a bad price. .

I checked TC's web site 2 weeks ago for my September 2012 flights and they are almost the same as they are tonight. Once you add in reserved seating, the price is almost identical to what I paid this year. They have dropped the Sunday flight with 11.00am departure from GLA and have replaced it with a Saturday departure at 7.00am that arrives back in GLA at 1715 that means that I will have one less night to stay in a Glasgow airport hotel.

I agree the price is shocking, but, Turkey is becoming incredibly popular from the North East, especially Newcastle. TCX now fly every day, I believe, from Newcastle to Dalaman compared to just 3 flights a week in the last few years. Most likely to do with the availability... or the lack of it.

Jonny.
