seems there may be plans afoot to reinstate the flag?! Tried to translate the attached link and it seems someone may have made a donation for a replacement?! can't quite work out whether it's planned to be replaced tomorrow or perhaps at the end of ramadan

am sure someone with a grip of Turkish can make more sense of this than me

oops - it was a link to an event this morning on facebook re a new flag - think it was some of the lads from Club SUn Village that organised it
By the time we set sail at 10.00, the flag was flying again yey
At least our fellow forumites' trek would be to the [new] flag rather than just the pole

I have never walked to the flag or Marmaris before and fancied doing both this time. I know how to get to the path that takes you to marmaris but i haven't a clue how to walk to the flag, could somebody help me out a bit and advise on best time of day to do it? :D :D

Flag's back!! A brand new one too!!! We met with Darren, Roger aka Mr Mischief and Adewolves and his lovely daughter Shannon on Friday to walk to the flag...we took a wrong turning and had a hard trek to get up there but finally made it. What a weird sight to see two locals arrive at the flag armed with a ladder and a new flag! The old flag was wrapped around the pole...they started to cut the old one down and erect a brand new one! There was a little clapping when it was finally raised, we were so lucky to have arrived at the exact time that this was being done. A big clap to all in our gang who persevered, photos to follow when get home.

First thing I looked for coming into the resort. It looks very clean and shinny :D very bright to as the sun hasn't had time to fade it yet.
