There are two restaurants - one called Charlie's Place, which is pretty much opposite Tansas. The other - Charley's - is the one referred to on this thread, and is near Linekers Bar. Does get a bit confusing when you've got different places with the same, or very similar, names.
We discovered that when we were staying at the Siesta Homes Residence last October, and the transfer driver took us to the Siesta Apartments, then the Siesta Hotel, before we finally ended up at the right Siesta!

HI guys!!
Myself and the children are coming next week, cant wait!!! We stay at sevgi apartments in the old village. Although we have been many times I was hoping for some more advice on good restaraunts. I mylsef like turkish food, the smaller family run places. Where the food is authentic and there is nothing english about! However with the kids we need a few recommendations for this type of place and the children would like lively and shows for a few nights. We normally end up in venice. Any ideas guys? Directions too please!
Thanks very much!

The ideal restaurant for you is the Hanedan. When leaving the centre walk towards the old village. You'll pass the Romance, then the Babadan apartments and then the Hanedan, all on the right hand side. There is no loud music or shows as they concentrate on the food which is excellent. The lavaş is even nicer than in other restaurants and the presentation is also excellent. It's definitely become our favourite restaurant. If you want the shows etc you can always go somewhere else afterwards :)

Hanedan and also Lal are easier/quicker to get to from Sevgi if you come from the old village end

From Sevgi, go down to main road and head left, then when your at Deja Vu junction after a few yards, head up that road [as if you are walking to the mountain]
Pass Faber apartments and when you get to the junction where Wembley bar is, turn right - that road takes you in to town and both Hanedin and Lal are on that road before you get to Romance palace
Pizza tomato is also on that road and is great for cheap pizzas if the kids fancy something other than turkish food

Hope this helps
