Might miss my best friend's wedding. Help please!

Postby jools » 03 Aug 2011 15:18

I'm meant to be flying tomorrow from Bournemouth for my best friend's wedding but H4U are in administration and I've booked flights with Onur through them. I've tried to contact Onur and they have confirmed they will no longer be flying tomorrow. I'm not so concerned with the refund right now, but wondered if anyone had any decent websites where I could find a flight for about £350 max? I can fly from any London airports, but have exhausted my options with the websites I know.

Thanks :(

Thank you so much for your advice. Amy, I've emailed your friend and I hope she can help.
At the moment, flights are around £400 so I'm not very hopeful. Absolutely gutted.

Oh dear, poor you. Dont know if its any help but my friend who was a bit of a free spirit used to sometimes just turn up at a busy airport and go to the many airline desks to see if they had a seat (easy if just one) and often she would get one dirt cheap. She was very flexible on where she would go though- anywhere with sun! There may be a problem of getting home though but there will probably be a seat a week or two later as people have to be there to come back and if the seats are available going..........
Hope you get there anyway, let us know.

Have a look to see if you can go via Rhodes, thats what we have done for this Saturday and then ferry across to Marmaris, it may be an option for you.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say thank you for helping me to hunt for flights after the panic. I was able to find a flight early in the morning and be there for the wedding. It was beautiful and I am so thankful for your help. I would have posted earlier, but didn't have time once I'd booked the flights, as I suddenly had a lot of packing to do with 3 hours til I needed to go to the airport.

Hope everyone else who struggled was as lucky as me :) xx
