it is the hairy men they go for, we first encountered them about 15yr ago in Zakynthos and my hubby having hairy toes as well as legs got the fright of his life when thousands of them swarmed all around him :lol: seeing him running screaming from the sea was a sight to behold :lol: even to this day he enters the sea with caution,the big wuss that he is.

Micky I always give my feet, knees and elbows a good old scrub with damp sand when at the beach, it really makes a difference after a couple of days! :)

I've always been scared of them blighters in the Icmeler waters but started to get fed up of myself so on saturday i went for a fish pedicure to overcome this ridiculous fear i have and after a few minutes of panic i thoroughly enjoyed it and thought id confront the little tiddlers in September but now i've seen this post i'm gutted!!! Draw blood, are you kidding? :(

I must admit when I first went for a fish pedicure and was told the fish were Turkish I thought Oh, these are the ones in the sea so thats ok. I really enjoyed my pedicure and was looking forward to laying out, full body for the little darlings to suck away my dead skin......until I stumbled upon this thread.......sod that!! :-)

please be advised take care when entering the sea if you dont want to be bitten (WEAR YOUR WELLIES AND A MACK)oh and dont forget you umbrella incase it rains :lol: :lol: 8)

i can assure you its not just hairy legs they go for :lol: it wont stop me going for a dip ,i will be the one in the water flapping around a bit in a deperate bid to keep the little sods at bay

Janeypoos i think you and me are best staying out the sea and laying on the beach watching everyone else come running out!!!!! I'll give it a go but if they draw blood the whole of Icmeler will hear me!!!! :lol:
