Really Sad ...

Well yet again, due to a lovely recession we can't afford our holiday to lovely Icmeler so can you all keep your holiday blogs coming, I am really enjoying reading them and if I shut my eyes I can imagine I am there I hope all of you that are going to Icmeler this year have a lovely time. Please get your photos on too so I don't forget what it looks like. Hopefully next year

How sad. To be honest we have struggled this year, can't see us doing it next year unless some good fortune smiles upon us, so we'll certainly make the most of it this year. Hope things go right for you soon so you can also enjoy paradise again.

What a sad thing. I cannot imagine a year without going to Icmeler but of course when times are hard, its a sacrifice that has to be made. Everyone's blogs are really good and I, myself will write one when I return or while I am there if I can.

Yep i love reading the blogs as I too am sadly missing this year due to the financal crap. Have already booked for next year though so keep the blogs and any pics coming , they remind me of paradise

iv struggled this year, not so much in paying fo hols although not cheap, but for spendies, iv had to take on an extra job at mac ds (everyones fav place) but will be worth it for my 2 week fix, although probably will sleep first week cause had to work every weekend for 4 months to pay for it

I have to admit I am a little spoilt and everyone takes the micky out of me......calling me Judith Chalmers because I have so many hols in a year. But, I do like to remind people that I do two jobs, one of which I work all the hours God sends and this is how I afford them. I know not everyone can have one holiday let alone 2 or 3 in a year and believe me, I enjoy every second when I am there because I know I've earned it.

I do have to add though that I am single and have no kids which of course helps as I can drop everything and go when I like. But I work so much that I don't think I'm ever going to find a fella to travel with!!! So for now, its either going solo or taking my lovely parents!!

Thanks for all your comments, at least all of us that can't go can be sad together I am married and we have children one of which we are supporting through her second year of college so things not cheap and unfortunately holidays have taken a sacrifice for the second year. I am sure things will get better though !

we cant go to icmeler this year but only becase we are going to santorini in 7 weeks my daughter is getting married their so ecited its a place i have wanted to go

We understand what your going through,we were all ready packed and on our way when i was taken ill ,hopefully if my nice insurance company coughs up we may be able to visit later in the year

Juejue, I sypathise with you very much as we are in the same boat as you. We are going to Icmeler again this year but have struggled really hard to scrape the money together. Some of us aren't so lucky as to have a job (never mind 2), no kids and several holidays a year. Unfortunately my hubby is disabled and I am unemployed at the moment, and thanks to this wonderful Government, don't think that we will be able to go to our wonderful Icmeler next year, and probably not the year after either. Looks like we will have to make do with the webcam until we can get there again
