Icmeler to Bodrum

Hi Everyone,

I am sure this subject must have come up before but have searched and can not find a topic on this.

I am coming to Icmeler in September / October for 3 weeks and want to go to Gumbet for a few nights too (have friends staying there)....could someone advise me of the easiest / quickest way to get to Bodrum by public transport (road or sea) please.

Bus from marmaris is the quickest

Do you know how long it takes to get there and roughly the price please ?
Never been to Marmaris or Icmeler before.....is Tansas a bar / hotel / restaurant ?

173km or 108 miles. About 3 hrs 8 mins according to google.

Tansas is a supermarket and I thought it was only about 50 miles from Marmaris to Bodrum.Some people fly to Bodrum instead of Dalaman when they are holidaying in Icmeler.

Juju, Bodrum airport is still a good distance from Bodrum the resort so the earlier report is about right. 100 miles or so from icmeler to bodrum.Lke J.T. says, best way gotta be coach from Marmaris.Mark.

Thank you for all your replies....I have also heard there is a "Water Taxi" that goes to Bodrum too.....anybody know how long that takes please ?

In the summer there is a ferry you can take from outside Marmaris to Bodrum and goes I think Thursday and Sunday but I have never really looked into it as I know for a fact that by the time you get to the ferry and board and then travel around the peninsula to Bodrum I would have been sitting in Bodrum harbour sinking a cold one if I drove
