dont buy fake Toms as the reason they made is to ensure people elsewhere in the world get shoes

for every pair of toms bought the company donate another pair to a person who needs shoes

I understand your point of view but, if I can get them cheaper then I will, might sound harsh but it's the way of the world, especially these days. As a nation we give massive amounts of aid and help to third world countries, problem is nothing ever changes because the money never gets to the people who need it, I know that's a little off the topic, but as I said needs must in hard times. Personally I think the shoes look like they'd last no more than 5 minutes, they're more like slippers...must be my age I'm most likely out of touch.

Didn;t see any Toms apart from my original ones in Icmeler over the last couple of weeks ;)

For what its worth my daughter bought me mine for my birthday and they are not as comfy as she said they are and useless if they get wet :(

With all due respect the amount charged for designer wear is extortinate and a total rip off. Trouble is that so many people have fallen for this hype and will pay well over the odds for just a name when the cheaper versions are just as good and indeed often made in the same countries in very similar factories. The designers are millionaires- think about it? Buy as cheap as you can and donate to Oxfam, Oxfam provides not only shoes but life saving medicines for maleria etc and clean drinking water.

I must be so out of touch! I've never heard of Toms & Vans, my grandchildren are into Converse boots but to me, they just look like baseball boots from when I was young :?

yeah they are flat loafer type shoes -- mainly worn by skater/scene type folks. :)

not the best in my opinion as i think the fact that they are so flat makes them uncomfortable to walk long/ even shopping length journeys in :)

dunno about toms but i know they've definitely got vans --- a mate brought some back recently
