must be driving you insane shuggy!!
on bright side though, at least you dont have to travel on 13th - not that am superstitious or owt lol
hope it doesn't affect your accom?

we're flying with Onur too and original flights would have meant we landed in time to have a meal on first night
now they've changed it to us only arriving in early hours, so effectively lose our 1st night!
guess that's what happens when we book so far in advance, eh?!

nice one shugs!
I'll be flying to Belfast as you fly to Icmeler, then flying back home the following day and then off to Icmeler the day after that
you'd best have a couple of Efes lined up - I'll be all travelledout hahaha

fingers crossed for no more changes

We also got a call today saying that all flights from Belfast are cancelled from the 13 Sep. due to lack of interest, we were due to fly on the 27 Sep. Needless to say I was not a happy bunny. After a few hours of searching I have managed to come up with a flight from Belfast to Dalaman leaving on the 26 Sept. better flight times and a few hours longer in Paradise for an extra £40 each. So fingers crossed that these are ok. Just wonder will aegean be just as quick to credit the money back to our account. Guess time will tell.

You've all got me worried. Booked with Aegean for August 2012 from Glasgow. Sounds like Aegean do this a lot, looking at other reviews. Aw well done now. Just have to keep my fingers, and toes crossed

Hi Carol, we've flown with Onur several times and each time they've changed the flight times/merged 2 flights. In the good old days, we used to make a massive saving by booking 14 months in advance as soon as the flights came out. We took it that flight changes were a small inconvenience given the savings we'd made.

Sad to say that the savings aren't as good now IMHO, not to mention having to pay extra for 15 kg hold luggage, and a small fortune if you want 20kg. They do seem to have changed flight times more than usual this year, so for the first time in a long time, I've not booked flights for next year - am going to leave it until nearer the time and see what's available, fingers crossed I'll get a good deal and hopefully more than 15 kg hold luggage weight

jeezo Shuggy :( not realy good news when its so close to your departure date.
The funny thing is ( well not realy funny is it ) we have a September holiday booked with h4u departing from Edinburgh and I have been saying to the hubby that if they can cancel flights from Glasgow during the Scottish school holidays ( it should fully booked) then the chances of us leaving from Edinburgh during non peak dates are going to be slim..
If they cant fill a Glasgow flight during busy periods then we have no chance of Edinburgh flights during off peak dates.
It now begs the question... When do h4u intend telling us that our holidays are cancelled?.

with your situation..... Is Amsterdam not closer to Glasgow than London Gatwick is?

Hi Rakigirl
They did that in June too - a couple we were chatting to in Dalyan were flying to/from Edinburgh and were less than impressed that their flight home was dropping folk off in Belfast on the way
Mind you, it's not just Onur that do this. A few years ago, our Monarch flight home in Sept was diverted to Luton or Gatwick [can't recall which]
Worst thing was we'd been told that we'd be allowed to stay on the plane. BUT ended up that we'd to get off, collect our cases and check in again. The folk who'd bought duty free alchohol on the way back through Dalaman had to then put it in their cases - made them overweight and Monarch had the cheek to charge them excess!!!

We couldn't get flights from Edinburgh, and our original flight from Glasgow was cancelled because they couldn't fill it. Although the alternative worked out okay for us, it does put you off booking with Onur a bit.

To be fair to Onur, Blondie, I think things are perhaps out of their control? I tend to book over a year in advance, so they won't have any idea at that stage what the take-up rate will eventually be for the flights. And more so in these tough times of austerity I suppose?? Also, it's just something to bear in mind and at least we know what to expect and choose to take that risk or not...
It won't put me off booking with them again, I'll just shop around more nearer the time - TBH I always struggle with 15kg luggage allowance, so for me, next year I'll be looking for flights with 20 kg and pricing on that weight

Thats just not right Fanny is it? in fact its down right disgusting to be treated like that after paying your money for a service that is second rate.
TBH with you Id be happy for Onur Air cancelling our flight right now with a full refund from h4u rather than being treated like cattle.

Totally wrong, verging on immoral IMHO, but they've got us by the proverbials eh Rakigirl and nothing we can do about it
SO I try not to let it get to me cos I spend all day every day dealing with complaints and love it cos I can help people out [or put them straight haha], so I really CBA getting wound up about things, especially when I'm going on my hols hahahaha
As long as I get my flights at a good price, I'm generally happy
