Just wondered as when in the Greek islands I never used to go out for dinner till about 9pm as most restaurants were still full and cooking well past 11pm.
Do you all have a prefered time? And what's the general time for the restaurants to stop cooking?

We tend to be setting out about 7:30 to 8, have a drink at the bar at apartments then a saunter into town, usualy getting to eat around 8:30 to 9...kids are usualy starving by this time lol.Entertainment starts in a lot of the places at around 10 so by that time tables are cleared

mum & dad like to think about 7.30 - 8 but their usually still waiting for me to get ready

we tend to go out about 8/ 8.30. jayjay is right food cut off point is about 10 but im sure if you wanted to eat later most places would cater for that rather than turn you away? x

Most places generally stop serving around 11-ish, but if we've been arriving later than that, we've found they'll go out of their way to make you something. There are also some places which go on serving until the wee small hours - particularly the little kebab/pide places frequented by the locals.

What, does no one eat just like at home - tea done and pots washed by 6.30??
Us brits are like the yanks, everything done at too quick a pace

Here in not so sunny Hastings I usually have dinner about 7pm, when on holiday I don't eat until after 9/9.30ish

We go out to eat at around 8.30-9pm. When we arrive back to apt after either sunbathing or from where we have been, we have a cuppa and snack of cake or biscuits, then we have to have a late afternoon nap, then shower and get glammed up and only then are we ready!

Typically between 6.30 and 7.30 I will have a couple of beers while the three women in my life get ready, I then get a chance in the bathroom, 15 minutes later I'm ready so have another beer while waiting for them to finish off the plastering, we normally get out between 8pm and 8.30pm.
In late September its earlier as the pool has closed due to the shorter days.

Some of these posts sound sooooooo familiar. Boss Lady usually plans to be "out" for eats at around 7.30 and we have a little wander around whilst we decide where to eat. So, I shower and shave at around 7.00 and THEN she decides to get ready. Oh well......pool side bar, here i come. Two Efes later, 'er indoors arrives and tells me to "hurry up with that coz we're late"
So, generally we leave the apartment at about 8.15ish and actually sit down in our chosen resturant at about 9.00
Having said all this......I don't really care what time it is when on holiday. Eat when i'm hungry, if i want a beer, i'll have a beer and sleep when i'm tired.

it,s entirely up tp you,but after 22:00, they usually start partying every where,so I would say before 9:30
then just enjoy the drink or walk around.
