Daily Check In

Postby icmeler rocks » 13 Jul 2011 21:59

Hi we are in icmeler for the next 7 weeks so if you guys need any info i will try to help , weather as usual brill , the resort is busy busy busy , the canal i have to admit is a big loss to the icmeler experience but the to be fair icmeler has enough of the paradise feel to be able to cope with it. The people are as friendly as ever , and the entertainment is at last moving slowly away from MJ and robot man , bamboo have fire jugglers and the aqua have a great outdoor stage with varied entertainment everynight. Places like tin tin bar just around the corner from eastenders are doing a pint of tuborg for 2.5 tl and the food is excellent , kardelen pide now have their new place opposite tansas and the pides and wraps are amazing for a very very reasonable price . The exchange rate is hovering around the 2.56 though i am sure there will be places `slightly higher , for anyone thinking of coming to icmeler dont delay jump on the plane an fly out to paradise Speak soon 8) 8) 8)

Thanks icmeler rocks!
You will probably be returning as we fly out on Set 2nd :D
Do you think the exchange rate will go down?
My brother, who will be coming with us has been told that the rate normally drops towards the end of the season so has been advised to buy his currency here. It would be really helpful if you posted now & again what the rate is please?

11am another beautiful cloudless day , just sat on the balcony with my fresh bread from the bakers round the corner from tansas and a tub of seriously strong cheese ( how sad am i ) going for a stroll to the alvaro shortly for a nice cooling dip and maybe even a cheeky ride on the water slide . Then off up to cans cafe for a chi and a cooling breeze and magic views over the bay i will drop a line later with the latest exchange rate 8) 8)

Hi, I hope you are having a good holiday. Can you please find out where the silver stall run by Ayhan has moved to. It was next door to the dvd man near the bridge on the canal. Have been buying silver from him for years.

Any information greatly appreciated.

Ayhan has a shop now, much bigger selection, close to the entrance to Hobnobs. Ben(the DVD man) has got a shop as well the other side of Hobnobs.

Hope it helps
