Inappropriate Turkish Massage!!

Postby Chris221273 » 12 Jul 2011 21:21

Hey all,
My step daughters best friend has just been round and telling us about her holiday in Marmaris.
We were talking and she said about the Turkish Massage they had at their hotel.
It started off with a Sauna, ofwhich they were locked in and left. Then 2 women walked in and threw hot water over them, followed by a bucket of cold water! Then they were taken to the massage tables and prepared for the foam scrub. This was the bit they both felt most intrusive, as the women literally scrubbed everywhere, including between their legs!!!
Now, I'm quite looking forward to my Turkish bath, as is my girlfriend, but this does raise slight concerns.
They also ended the massage by clicking their necks, something I know as a sufferer with my neck should only be done by a qualified chiropractor!
So my question is this, is this normal for a Turkish Bath, as I've never read anything like this on here about what they're like.

Bears no resemblance to the Turkish bath and massage we had. We went to the hamam at Armutalan and I would definitely recommend it. At no time did any of us feel embarrassed or awkward - my husband or I, or my teenage daughter and son, although we all had male masseurs.

Well that's what I thought blondie from what I've read on here, it just struck me as the total opposite of what i have read. And the money wasn't taken by the hotel, but by the ladies giving the massage. £22.00 each!!!!

I am a female have had several turkish baths always done by a male and never have I felt the massage was intrusive or inappropriate. This should never happen and maybe the girls were unfortunate to choose the wrong place. Hope you have a much better experience, which you should enjoy.

That sounds really expensive to me too - think they definitely chose the wrong place.

Bit over the top, and pricey
Maybe because its felmale, they felt they could go a bit closer to the hem line, I have only been massage by men and they have been of the upmost respect
With the neck clicking yes that happens the massage guy has click my husband toes which is a total no go if you have an area that you dont like being touched please point it out before hand,
Maybe the girls getting it done where too scared to say hey you going a bit OTT but if i felt it wasnt on Im quick at pointing it out
