Personally I wouldn't risk the bb gun, I'm not sure what type of knife you are talking about it doesn't come up under google, your luggage is x-rayed on entering the airport may cause issues. bb guns are available on the internet in the UK.

Have a look on the website of which ever airport your travelling from.
We were looking on the gatwick website last night and that said you can carry toy guns, replica guns and any knife as long as it's in your suitcase, although this may be different depending on where you are flying back in to!
This is the info from gatwick airport, although this is for what you can take out, not bring in.
Hope it's of help: http://www.gatwickairport.com/check-in- ... d-baggage/

any knife with a spring mechanism or locking blade will be confiscated. If you have a BB GUN THAT COULD BE CONSTRUED AS A REPLICA OR 'KIND' YOU WILL LOSE IT. Any souvenir story will not work either

I have just got that from a friend who works atsecurity at Gatwick

When we were coming back last year, There ws a family behind us and they young boy has a knuckle duster in his luggage which had shown up in the X-ray machine and that was taken off him before he got in the Airport. We thought the father was going to kill the son

On a personal level i think you must be a youngster as only someone who wants to be "hard init" would ask such as that.

BB Gun and Metal? As realistic as poss?

Knives? oh yer a souvenir?

Yep spend your money and watch it go straight down the drain at customs. If you have to ask the question then you have an inckeling of the legality of it.

Further to Erik's words. Not only will they be confiscated you stand a better than average chance of being arrested and being charged with a criminal offence of possession of an imitation firearm or bladed article.

I would just like to add that i don't think it will matter how cute your case is, you will still probably lose what you brought in!! :D

But, what I will say is I actually collect samurai swords and alike, and I was in Majorca at the time of the 9/11 twin towers attacks, and I brought back a large knife/sword in my suitcase and never had a problem. And that was when security was at it's tightest.

Is it just me but this post makes me feel uncomfortable, and hopes that who ever posted it isn't on our flight.

the whole post smacks of funnyness to me, the spelling and wording is awful

I think cuite case is meant to be suit case

sorry peevo have to disagree the other posts are in the same manner as this one, spellings incorrect etc. i am sure most of us are grammatically incorrect at times  Not that i would ever contemplate bringing a BB gun in or out of the country :)

Any knife that is classed as a 'Lock Knife' is illegal in this country.A knife or bladed article over 3" long is also likely to get you stopped at Customs. Knuckledusters, throwing stars, extendable batons, pepper sprays, stun guns will all end in arrest. As for the BB gun my suggestion would be contact the airline directly and ask them,as different airlines have different policies on such items

I don't particularly like this post :( However as a reply to it. My little boy had a large water pistol when we went on jeep safari and we packed it in the case coming home but case was x-rayed and we had to take it out and leave it.

Just had a giggle imagining you had packed it loaded. Customs guy searches case, finds suspect item, looks at it and pulls trigger......BANG.....a face full of water.

Small things amuse small minds!
