silly question time but,

What's the toiletries like in here ?
trying to save the weight in the cases, are we better buying it over there ?

is it all turkish brands or can you get what we get here ?

prices, i would imagine for the imports will be expensive so do you know cheaper alternatives ?

just the likes of shampoo , shower gel , sun tan lotion etc.

5wks on thursday

Cheapest way is to buy it from boots or superdrug in the departure lounge at the airport after you have checked your cases in!

Not when you are through departures ... this is a great idea.

Definately get sun lotion here as its quite expensive in Icmeler. Shampoo and Conditioner isn't that bad cost wise. Or do as previously suggested buy it all at the airport, 100ml restriction only applies before going through security so once your through you can buy whatever you need.

Always buy mine after I've gone through security at the airport, always found them more expensive in Icmeler

I buy shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap out there at the Tansas - on the grounds that they'll be the most suitable for the local water. I live in a soft water area and my stuff doesn't always work well abroad. Tansas often do deals on this stuff - last time I got a big shower gel with a free shampoo (or vice versa - it was last year. LOL)

Last couple of years i have purchased all my toiletries over there apart from sun lotion & toothpaste lol to save me humphing them,we have a wee boy who doesn't get any luggage allowance so buying toiletries over there frees up some space for us.
Roll on next year when the Wee one gets his own allowance and seat on the plane!!

Im just back from holiday. Bought toothpaste and shower gel in the Tansas in Marmaris and used my money saving card(1 lira from shop)was the same price as at home. £1 for aloe vera/yoghurt shower gel (large bottle) and about 75p for a smallish tube of colgate. Enjoy your holiday.

Tansas is actually marked on the map - the location of it and various other supermarkets/mini-markets are designated by little shopping basket icons on the map, but for some reason, they're not named in the list itself on the left hand side.
