Hi Beryl,
I spoke to my OH this morning and she got 2.55 at the Wonderboys bar yesterday. I've asked her to check at the bank as i've heard it's 2.6 there.

Same as Bluenose, buy now or wait in the hope that it rises? This is the same dilemma as my post about flight prices.

Absolutely scunnered when Northern Rock went belly-up, getting 2.50+ before and down to 2.30 after. I'm hoping that it stays around the 2.50 mark and I'll be quite happy.

JT, I have always found the supermarket below ICR to be good, do we need to give them our user names?

JT is talking about the new Exchange Shop next door to the supermarket you have mentioned.

I've already got some Turkish lira but after reading the last few posts on this topic I may as well take the rest of my spends in English , a better rate out there by the sounds of it .

Does this mean because the rate is so good, that bars/resturants/shops/taxi have put there prices up to cover cost against the hite rate lira v £

I've never seen them do that and in the end as they trade in lira, buy their goods, pay rent, pay tax, pay wages in Lira it shouldn't affect them accept for the price of imported drinks which are high priced anyway.

That's a great rate but i've heard you only get it if you change £500 or more. Is that right.?

The charge that you're probably thinking of is for ordering Lira online.
