cash or travellers cheques

been to Icmeler/Marmaris too many times to count, but have always only taken cash, and fingers crossed never had a problem using the room safes, but for some reason i feel i think i should be more protective of my hard earned pennies. Is there any disadvantages to taking T/C's, ???

We go to Icmeler every June & Sept. Have never had any problem with Travellers cheques - have changed them in change shops & supermarkets - got same rate as with cash and not charged comission. Never changed them in banks over there. Hope this helps
