Can anyone please tell me where this is. Read about it in a review and it sounds like just what i'm looking for. Love these kind of places. Traditional Turkish food and sounds more like a cafe than a restaurant-no need to dress up too much to eat out. Staying in old village, Prestij apartments. Thanks

It's near to the Wayside restaurant. I think if you walk past the Wayside towards the market it's just up there, very near to the Wayside.

There is a traditional Turkish restaurant oposite the Litera
Hotel which is situated just off the square near the
ICR offices. Its directly behind Kingsland on the main street. If you walk past the shops and bank with the white marble steps which are below street level, and take first right, its in there,A lot of the locals and the shopkeepers eat there. Food delish and cost is good. Was there last year. jacky aka fifegirl

Kerem is our favorite restaurant. Just goes to show everyone is different.

We like the Kerem too, although it is more expensive than some places. They do a lovely mezes platter which is very reasonable, and Layla's cheesecake is the best I have ever tasted. The atmosphere of the place is lovely too - really nice and welcoming.

I must agree with Katie.
We went once after a lot of people had raved about it but was fairly disappointed. I wasnt keen on them coming around with little bits for you to try only to find them added to your bill at the end of the night. Its obvious really that they would be added but the way they come around it makes you feel as though its complimentary.
There are loads of restaurants where you dont need to be dressed up and have quite relaxing atmospheres. Try Tommys in the old village, very nice restaurant and very good prices also.

Cheers everyone. Will give all mentioned a try and will report back in review. Thanks xx

I agree about the Kerem.
We persuaded friends who have an apartment in
Marmaris to come over and have a meal there.
We had the lamb casseroles and there was hardly any meat in any of them.
We had ate at Ozzies the night before and had a leg of lamb for 2 for 55TL!
Layla then came out with her famous cheese pastry things that she wanted us to try.
We told her the men did NOT eat cheese so didnt want them. She insisted and then added them to the bill even thought the men didnt eat theirs.
We had 2 cheesecakes and 4 Efes and the bill came to 177TL
I felt embarrassed as they said we should have gone to the Pineapple in Marmaris harbour and got a much nicer meal.
The restaurant and setting is lovely but we wont ever go back.

Cheers. Been looking at Sun Blue. Good location near the beach, centre etc. Can you let us know how it was when you get back and where did you book them. Thanks, Carol
