mud baths

Postby tony-s » 29 Apr 2011 20:12

5 or 6 years ago we went on this trip to dalyan mud baths, what a fantastic day out it was, the relaxing boat trip to turtle beach, stayed on the beach for an hour...lovely, then a river boat to dalyan, viewing the tombs on the way by, then the mud, rolling in it as if we where kids, really funny and we then had to stand on the hill and wat for the mud to dry in, everyone looked like statues, but here's the funny bit or maybe a warning to people who have'nt been before, when you go into the showers to wash the mud off, god they where powerfull, hold on to your shorts or bikini bottoms as we saw acouple of pairs floating around and a few white bums into the bargain...i was in stitches, it was hilarious.

We Had a great time, mud and all. The hose pipes did'nt get into all the right places so its recommended that you have a dunk in the sea lol.

Hi Tony. I have been on this trip and I agree with you about the showers. Like being under a pressure washer. The mud is like a certain type of lager. (reaches places that no other lager can reach) lol. Its trying to get the stuff off again thats the problem. hehehehe

A word of warning to the ladies; wear an old or dark coloured bikini as my friends one had white bits in the design and it got ruined- she couldn't get the white bits back to white whatever she tried.

£18 each with ICR.

Dalyan

Take a boat trip to Dalyan, Turtle beach, one of the last surviving breeding grounds of the logger head turtles. Immerse yourself in the mud baths said to make the skin appear more youthful. The surrounding cliffs are carved with great rock tombs; these are from the Necropolis of the ancient city of Caunos.

£18 per person
