Ok if there is something that pis*e* me off its certain words.

Sea Bass, come on this is the UK all of our Bass come from the sea unlike USA where its caught in a lake and all gob and bone so why ask for SEA Bass

Pan Fried, how the hell are you supposed to fry something if its not in a pan so why the hell say PAN fried.

To Die For, what the hell is this supposed to mean, why not say fantastic succulent very tasty, I have seen men write this on forums and even say it on TV and does my head in.

At the end of the day is another expression that came about a few years ago as in "at the end of the day its your choice" what happened to the word "finally" put in the right context.

Another that came to light a few years ago and I think from what I remember booking people over the phone and talking to people from all over the UK originated south of Watford Gap "Ah Bless" what the hell is it

There are more and rant over for now.

Back to the vino and catch up

Hope you are feeling better now JT

I just cant wait to get back to Icmeler to sample the 'PAN FRIED, SEA BASS', 'AT THE END OF THE DAY' ITS TO DIE FOR'. I love Icmeler, 'AH BLESS'

I was wondering as we cannot be in icmeler all the time and when the good weather comes we will be going out for a day trip. how about the members reccomending places to see an good resturants in their area of the uk.I have had some disaster meals and perhaps this would help us choose.

I was watching Wright Stuff this morning when they said that a marriage that had lasted 10 years was classed as a successfull marriage even though the couple may have seperated after the 10 years.
I have just been browsing my music and would like to share this song with you and dedicate the Song and verse to our Ann who will have been my wife off 47 years on August 29.2011

http://www.youtube.com/user/redrhin4#p/f/10/BI3bSZejaA8

Yours is the love I will carry,
Through oceans of Time.
Yours is the soul that blends,
so beautifully with mine.
Yours is the face I see,
As the dawn becomes the day.
Yours is the hand I can hold,
If ever I lose my way.
Yours is the Laughter that lifts,
Whenever my Heart is low.
Yours is the voice that warms,
With the softness of its tone.
Yours is the Love I have,
As long as I have you.
For You my Love Complete Me.
And I will always Love You.

Words by Nikoshiana Flowerday.
Song by Solomon King She Wears My Ring

That's lovely, Gene - but I have to say it's a bit of a sad indictment on our society today if 10 years' marriage is classed as successful. Ian and I will have notched up 27 this June, and I hope we go on for another 20 and more!

Gene - that was lovely. It brought tears to my eyes as my father died suddenly twenty years ago and he sang all of the time. She wears my ring was one of his favourites. The verse is lovely too. We celebrate our 26th anniversary next month, doesn't make sense to me how a marriage can be counted as successful if they've already split up. It doesn't matter how long you've been married if you're no longer together then it's not successful is it? I wonder who thought that one up.

I live in a village in South Wales. Last friday the children of the village school acted out a marriage in the village chapel. All the children were dressed as if they were attending a wedding and two of the children were dressed as a bride and groom. They had a wedding car to take them to the chapel, the preacher conducted the ceremony and they had a reception afterwards. There were no costs as everyone did everything free of charge. They were all given commemorative mugs to remember the occasion. No doubt they will always remember the day. This came about when the headmistress found out that not one child in the school had ever been to a wedding. They had lessons in school about marriage and then after these ended they had "The Wedding". I thought that this was a great idea :)
