Medline Medical Care Icmeler

Postby JT » 25 Apr 2011 16:08

I was speaking to my good friend Dr Murat at Medline facing Tansas in Icmeler the other day and he was talking about holiday insurance etc.

If you need prescriptions or anything at all when in the resort please don't just go to the chemist, as even though they are very helpful they are not trained to recognise different symptoms of sickness.

Go to see Dr Murat at Medline clinic and it will not cost a penny if you are claiming on your insurance.

Some doctors or hospitals actually make you pay up front even if you have insurance but with Medline they claim it all back from the insurance companies so all you will pay is whatever your excess is.

Dr Murat is a nice bloke so pop in to see him for any help or advice

Thanks for that John.

Tried to get medication for my daughter a couple of years ago at a chemist. Explained it was dangerous to have anything with asprin in it as she's asthmatic. They were very helpful but on checking the label we found that what was recommended had asprin in it which could have brought on an asthma attack. Can't understand this as asprin is the same word in English as in Turkish.

If needed we'll definitely head for Dr Murat.

Thats very good to know, thanks for that. Hopefully no-one will need to consult your friend but is very reassuring to know of someone to be trusted to give us the right medication.

Hi All,
Last May, at almost the end of our holiday my wife slipped on the marble stairs in our apartment. She fell very heavily on the base of her spine. Next day she was in terrible pain and unable to walk, we took her to Medline Clinic and where given 5* service from all the staff and Dr Murat. After her first consultation we were in an an ambulance on our way to a hospital in Marmaris. No waiting-no queuing, straight in to x-ray and treatment ward.Fortunately all was o.k. back in an ambulance to Icmeler.Supplied with medication of cream & tablets, a wheelchair and advice and info on what to expect in the next few days.
We went to the Medline Clinic at 9-00am and were back in our apartment before 12-00 noon.Is that not some super service!!!
Fortunately, all is well now but I cannot believe we could get the same service from our own N.H.S.(no disrespect to all our wonderful N.H.S. nurses and staff.)
Cheers from the Geordie Mafia.
P.S. She was sober - the only non-drinker in our squad. !!

We went on holiday to Icmeler last May and within the first 2 days i developed a bad chest and wheeze, finding it more and more difficult to breath, it got that bad i couldn't sleep as the wheeze was keeping me and my husband awake so my husband took me along to Medline clinic. I was really scared as when i was younger i had asthma but when i got to the clinic i was welcomed by Dr Murat and Fiona who was the office assistant there and they both made me feel so relaxed explaining everything as i was being examined. It turned out i had a bad chest infection and was put on oxygen and a drip straight away. All of the time i was there, i felt as relaxed as i could be and not worried about the care i was given, everything was 100%. The clinic even drove my husband back to our apartment so he could get my passport and insurance details and when my treatment had finished they took me back and picked me up again the next morning for my check up. It is true that you don't pay anything upfront, you just pay your excess, which i think is really good. From then on, we always make time to go say Hello to Dr Murat as he is so nice.

All treatment is done in private hospitals and not state ones.

We will be working alongside Dr Murat as in he will be arranging cosmetic surgery in the best clinics in Turkey and we will be arranging all the travel and accommodation side of it but that will be available fully later on in the year, so if anyone is interested then feel free to drop me a line

I meant to say I'm not sure where Tansas is, so if I was at the crossroad where AZRA jewellers are that used to have to have the car and motorcycle outside, which direction would I head, the way the dolmus heads to marmaris maybe?
