Konya - Anyone been there?

Hi Y'all

I am heading over to Konya to visit a friend's family for 3 days and just wondered if anyone could tell me what's its like there?

hiya Shelly
i went to konya for the first time about a month ago with my boyfriend
he is kurdish
its much different to icmeler and any other tourist places in turkey
it is much more religious with lots of covered women and more evidence or religion around in the streets
its a huge city according to my boyfriend and his cousin it is the biggest city in turkey on land mass but not in population
its very hisorical with a famous museum called mevlana which lots of tourists go and see
