Mags23 wrote:Mary, the only reason we started to stay in Icmeler was because we couldn't find suitable accommodation in Turunc at the right price, whilst we do love Icmeler and the hotel we use all the time, if we could find the right place in Turunc we'd be there like a shot. It may be small, only really the main street of shops, but it has plenty of resautarants/bars to keep me going and there is such a relaxed atmosphere it just can't be described (try a few days there, take a trip to Marmaris, and you'll feel you just can't wait to get back).

Don't worry about not enough to do, you're only a dolmus/taxi boat away from more "life", but I bet Turunc will win you around too. Suppose it depends on what you want from a holiday, I just want to relax, have nice meals, stroll along the beach front with no hassle - Turunc gives me that.

Whatever you decide, I hope you all enjoy

Thanks Mags, I am really looking forward to our week in Icmeler now. No doubt we will have a taxi boat to Marmaris to show my Sister the bazzar and have a game of ten pin bowling now that we have found where it is. The relaxation in Turunc after the 3 days of partying in Icmeler will be a welcome treat, then another 4 days to look forward to in Icmeler after Turunc.

Anyway....you can only drink in one bar at any time

Mary, I'm sure you will have a fab time in Turunc. Me and Daz have had a couple of holidays over there and have had brilliant times and, just as Donna says, you can only drink in one bar at a time and we never had a problem finding one that suited us each time. Just make sure you warn your sister that she could also be infected with the icmeler bug and she'll need to make more visits, like the rest of us!

I am sure she will fall in love with the place and love the hospitality, I am really excited at the thought of showing her around our favourite place and also the change in Turunc too.
