Important Motorway Travel Update

Just had this from easyjet, for anyone travelling this way to Manchester Airport on these dates, need to find alternative routes..... Like me

We have been notified that, in connection with planned roadworks, M56 motorway will be closed in the period starting Friday 1st October to Monday 4th October and from Friday 8th October to Monday 11th October. The motorway will be closed from Junction 6 to Junction 8 for westbound traffic (cheading towards Chester) and from Junction 9 to Junction 7 for eastbound traffic (heading towards Manchester).

I'm sure you will make it collette i am sitting in the bar at the blue rainbow now but leave on sunday so i will miss you have a good holiday basic but clean and food ok nothing fancy but edible, my other half just getting ready for dinner then zazas were at gypsy beach today but will write reviews when I get back

OH on his way home from work along M 56, the closure from junction 9 - 7 manchester bound has been cancelled for this weekend. not sure about other way, heading towards Chester, but will update tomorrow when he goes to work

Also remember anyone coming from Wilmslow there are roadworks at the tunnels going under the runway with closures.

They've been cancelled apparently. Getting delayed until the end of the month I believe.

Not 100% though.

definately have been cancelled. all signs have been removed and replaced with 'works cancelled ' signs. Oh uses m56 every day to work

Ahhh thats good news they must of know I will be on the road at 3am and not wish me to get lost

pity they didn't have the same thought this afternoon when I got issued a parking fine

we are leaving early to make sure we get their more time for duty free lol.
the only trouble with easyjet they never put what terminal we go from

Were from Terminal 3, never been from there before.
