taxi from dalaman

Hi,

Can anybody tell me the cost of a taxi from Dalaman to Icmeler this year. The hotel are charging us £120 to £140 return.

Also are there plenty of safe reliable taxis at the airport?

Been twice before but always had the transfer pre-booked. Last year the hotelcharged us £100 so bit of a jump in price this year.

Any help would be appreciated.

hi, we have booked ours through icmeleronline and it is £100 upwards depending how many but all taxis at airport have a pretty standard charge which i believe is around £120 return

You will not get a taxi at the airport to do a return as they will not drive back from Dalaman to pick you up.

£70-75 is the norm one way from Dalaman in an airport cab.

I believe that there are plenty of cheaper transfer companies on the net and if you Google then you may find but as in anything in life, you get what you pay for.

Totally agree John, when you have had a days travelling, the last bit airport to hotel is always the worst, agree you get what you pay for. No delays or tours with ICR - they get my vote !

Same for me. Cannot fault the service given by ICR.

Definitely not with us.

Our transport vehicles besides not being tatty do not have cracked windscreens and all have the company logo stenciled on the sides and are cleaned daily in front of our office

A posh minibus does not mean good service, we have used ICR for the last 3 years and will again this friday, we have NEVER had anything but courteous, quick, good service and the minibus has always been spotless.

We used ICR for transport last year and were very impressed. The mini bus was immaculate, driver was polite, didn't speed and felt safe the whole time. There was company livery on both the buses we used and they were on time both going and departing - free water in the fridge too!

Think Almond12 might be mistaking them for another company - strange 2nd post to!.

We have also used ICR and have always been treated very well, lovely clean vehicles with free water, safe driving , no complaints whatsover

They were £75 the yellow taxis.

We nearly had to get one after a marvelous start to our holiday not ! when Rain transfer had no record of our booking and this was after i'd gone to thomas cook desk said we'd booked a transfer etc so they crossed us of the list, then the idiots at the Rain desk were useless and had to keep ringing his boss, who said they had no booking but we had a reference number. Thank god I hadnt paid them prior via Paypal.

Taxis were £75 from the airport, but however Thomas Cook ladies were excellent and somehow got us on a coach even though we nearly ended up with 2 of us on 1 coach and 1 on another, luckily a group of 4 people on a coach going to Marmaris and Icmeler got a taxi so that enabled the 3 of us to travel together.

The moral check your booking confirmation because ours didnt even have our names on so i think their website must have had a strop on my booking. Review of holiday will follow when i get my laptop back at home.
