I got my tattoo a couple of years ago on the night before I went home and it was fine and much cheaper than here in the UK and you see him get a new needle from the packet. I went to Dilhan and Shamus, the first one in the underground market just at the bottom of the steps. Heard before I went this year that the underground market had gone but they were still there.

hi, three of our group got a tattoo this year from the guy in the underground market, thats two years on the trot we've had one done there, very clean and suberb tattoo artist also very reasonable prices, a good guide was the fact that his diary was near fully booked most days, go and make a choice pay small deposit and get it done on your last day, he's also open well into the evening and his wife also does some of the tattoos.

Cheers for that, I knew about the last day thing sun and pool etc. I actually know a tattoo artist that will do them for me at a fraction of the cost over here but the missus only decided this yesterday so having it done over here now would be no good as we fly out Thursday...bloody women. :x

Any idea if they can do your own design?

I don't see why not as he has a huge number of designs, hundreds, in books, photo's and on his PC. When you make an appointment and you turn up for it he has the design drawn on some sort of paper and I dont know how he does it but he presses the ink from the paper onto your skin and you can see the design and position of it on your body to see if it is what you want and in the right place, then if you satisfied they will do the tattoo. He will if you take a design or tell him what you want he will do it and check it is right before he starts on your skin.

Yes, my daughter and a friends two daughters all had tattoos from this place last year. A lot cheaper than home. They had theres done on our last day too. Downside is that you can't go in the pool after it. Thinking of getting one myself this time. :)

My hubby got a tattoo done at the place at the bottom of the stairs in the underground market this year! The bag of his leg! It's the clown from IT & covers a good area of his leg and he was £55 for it! Bargain! He got it done the night before we went home & just made sure he used plenty of sun cream on that area so as to not get burnt. Couldnt fault the place at all. Spotlessly clean and saw him taking a new needle out of the packet! Me & my stepdaughter took off to the pub thinking he would be a while, but was back with us within an hour! Going back next year & I've decided I'll brave getting a wee one too! Would highly recommend as would my hubby as the tattoo looks brilliant now it's all healed!

All good replies.. but can anybody advise if Shamus etc.. are good at portraits ?
I would love to get the kids portraits on my chest but as anyone with tats knows its a fear of whether the tat resembles the kids ?

Please help I go next week on the 20th

thanks in advance ]

I was gona get a new tatt in Icmeler last time I visited, really wanted a nazar (turkish eye).
Didnt get it done when considering the fact i was in and out the pool and in the sun constantly, these things will fade your tatt and stop it healing as quick and you may find you need a touch up at a later date in the uK.
I have a friend who was tattooed in Icmeler a few years back and his looks fine though.
My wife is a tattoo artist so I have no need for tattoos overseas now, shes always wanting to do new stuff on me.

Most tattoo artists do re colours no problem, the only way theyre not do it is if the tatt was less than 3 weeks old or if there was a recent scar near the tattoo incase the scar tissue was burst open.
