First time doing a blog but enjoyed reading them last year. So here goes.
Saturday
Raining nicely when we woke in durham.
Quick last minute pack, sort hand luggage, check passports and money in bags.
Mornjng went by very quick, mam and dad arrived about 1.15 while in shower. Ordered their phone and broadband from plusnet then loaded car up.
First stop costco, needed washing liquid and softener for our return.
Dropped us off at Newcastle airport at 240 for our 625 flight. Big que in front of thomascook, checkin opened 255, huge que for normal check in, zero for bag drop. We were using bag drop
Straight through security and into boots, then duty free.
Next stop aspire lounge, few drinks, snacks and cake. Next thing it's 545 and boarding has started, no holding just straight to the plane, via the rain.
Smooth service on flight, straight through passport control, visas not asked for so online stuff obviously working.
Paid for priority bags and we were on our way to our transfer double quick. Passed by thomascook to let them know we were here but using private transfer.
Over to desk 21 and away we went. ICR transfer worked a dream.
225, we're driving into icmeler. Arrived at apartments, check in took 2 minutes then we were shown to our room. Ground floor, we requested low floor so very happy.
And sleep.
Sunday
Woke at 9am (alarm used)
Breakfast at pool bar, yummy scrambled eggs on toast.
Wandered round resort, very quiet. Met Apollo at his boat stand near canal.
1pm we headed to fortuna beach for our Turkish bath, bliss. Yes they charge more but it's only your party in at that time so well worth it.
Evening spent at alins, fab chicken fajitas.
Night cap on balcony.
Monday
No alarm today, woke up 925.
Breakfast again at pool bar. Couple of hours round the pool then a wander.
We went on the beach, free sun beds at coco beach, yummy strawberry slush.
Wandered back to apartments, lay on sun beds in shade.
Evening meal tonight at the red lion.
Set menu, tbone for David, ottoman special for me. Washed down with cocktails.
Night cap on balcony again.
