Ode to Icmeler.....a personal view

My 3rd & last holiday of the year, now done
Memories fading with the sun
A look back over my time with a smile
Icmeler, the best place by a mile

June was the first of the year
Enjoyed with friends, supping beer
Their first time, 3 new recruits
Spent our time drunk as newts

The second visit in August, mate in tow
Gatwick to Dalaman go go go!!
Boat trip, Turkish bath, lounging by the pool
Fantastic, wonderful and absolutely cool

September 22nd and I was off again, oh yes
Where to stay?....let me guess
Rhodes Apartments of course, top class
Such a regular, I have my own glass

Joined by my brother and his bird
Thought Icmeler even better than they had heard
Loved the place and will definitely be back
One week of bliss and a bloody good craic

Booked for next year, 3 weeks so far
Tolga, get those beers on the bar
Zaza, let me know when its fancy dress
ICR book me in without the stress

Icmeler forum keeps my spirits high
And keeps me going till May is nigh
Wishing life away until I am back
A bigger case I need to pack…….

For all the excellent fakes I can buy
I cannot wait to return and say hi
To everyone I’ve met over the past few years
Through laughter and happy tears

Love looking back over my time with a smile
Icmeler, absolutely the best place by a mile
