Karen's. The Red Lion is on the main road, opposite the mini tansas supermarket.
Also, tonight they're doing a Turkish Wedding theme, with myself and Anita as bride and groom, so if anyone wants to see us making conplete arses of ourselve then do come on down and say hello :-D

Hi Chris, loving the blogs!

Where exactly is the Red Lion? I've heard it mentioned a couple of times so will need to put it on our list of restaurants to look out for

Is that the underground market?

On the google map someone made;

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid= ... 6,0.006899

would that put it near to Kingsland?

Been 6 years since I went to Icmeler and we weren't around that area much, so apologies for seeming a bit dense

Day 5
A few sore heads this morning, and heavy eyes.
The Turkish Wedding night at The Red Lion really was quite brilliant.
Al Pacino really went to town, flowers on the minibus....ribbons....the works.
We arrived their and the lads had hand held fireworks as well.
Yet another superb meal. I opted for the vegetarian casserole, and although I'm very much a meat eater....it was delicious and I would definitely have it again. What made the night was everyone getting up to dance, with a little help from me and a microphone and it created a really good party atmosphere :-)
Rate has gone up to 2.77tl in most places today. Going to have a lazy day today, then out tonight to watch the footy.
That's all for now guys.

Hi Catalonian

Check the Google Icmeler map
I have added the Underground Market
There are 4 place markers as there are 4 entrances / exits

Evening update.
Sat in coco beach restaurant having dinner.
Have to say, worst meal in my 2 visits to Icmeler! I had a vegetable casserole last night at the Red Lion, and it was lovely. So had the same tonight. Very disappointed, it was absolutely tasteless, no spice, nothing, just tasted watery. Ten of us having meals here......4 plates barely touched 2 eaten half but not enjoyed! Last year when we came here it was amazing food.....what a shame. Currently 10.28pm here and temp gauge In the square reading 31 degrees c! Exchange rate has gone up again. 2.78tl in the exchange office. So maybe a bit higher in the supermarkets.

Day 6
Our early night turned into another 3am finish!!!! Stopped in the Red Lion to watch the footy, and the Efes told me to stay out later......wicked Efes ;-)
Lazy day today round the pool this morning, then popped out for a walk for a couple of hours. Popped into ICR to find out about the new excursion, and has a nice chin wag with Elaine & Michelle.
Back to the hotel to shower.
Tonight is BBQ night at the Senem, so we'll be staying here tonight.
Rate today 2.78 in exchange office & temp by fountains was reading 48 degrees c!!!!

Day 7
Well.....last nights BBQ at the Senem was brilliant.
So much food it was crazy......yet wonderful, and the entertainment was the best we've seen in our 2 years of coming to Icmeler!
Musti did us a deal, as there was ten of us, so the 3 under sixteens were free!
We had Really good Turkish dancing, a brilliant belly dancer, superb break dancers, and lots of fun games in between. It was a really good way to get to know everyone in the apartments, and hats off to musti, he sorted a brilliant night.
We spent the day at Baba Sahin apartments today, a) because some of our family had to move there b) because they have a pool that under 6'5" tall people can stand up in, and c) at 7.30am all the sunbeds have towels on so there's no where to lay at the Senem!
Went to the Indian by the Mr Silver jewellers in the main square, which i think was called Masala.....wonderful food, but ridiculously hot inside, even with fans going! Have to say its not cheap there, but we ordered one main and 2 side dishes between 3 of us and we couldn't finish it all, and it was the best Chinese we've ever had, home or away, and cost is 75tl including drinks!!!! Stopped in the Red Lion for a 'quick' drink on the way home, and it's now 3.20am as I type this!!! No such thing as a quick drink in there!! Great night all in all, and going back to The Red Lion tomorrow for the Leg of Lamb........can't wait.
That's your lot for today folks, as my eye lids are heavy.....and I'm merry!!!!!

Sorry peeps for not doing blogs, have had a few problems this end.
Anyway, leg of lamb the other night at the Red Lion was gorgeous, literally melted in your mouth.
Did the Akyaka trip today, so a bit knackered now, so we're going to order some pizzas and I'm going to make a pasta salad and we are all going to sit on the balcony and munch.
Might have to pop to the bar to watch the footy at 10pm local time ;-)
It's still scorchingly hot here and rate is still sitting at 2.78tl.
