Dolly's some girl - she's always in charge. Did you know she has her own Facebook page now - for anyone who's interested, it's Dolly Icmeler Legend, and you can also buy Dolly key rings and fridge magnets, with proceeds going to Icmeler Animal Welfare.

It's been lovely keeping up with Dolly's adventures during the winter months, and I've got my Dolly keyring. I think it's a great idea. So many people know and love her, and it's helping the other animals at the shelter. I'll be there, walking the dogs, in a few weeks. Three lovely dogs arrived in the UK a couple of weeks ago to start a new life with their new families. It's wonderful what Icmeler Animal Welfare do, and with very little help, apart from donations from tourists.

Yes,Dolly is out and about daily. For the last 7 days it feels like she has been my personal pet.She has walked to the beach with me,then back to the old village on a daily basis. In the morning she would be outside waiting for her customary drink of milk and a few scraps. On Thursday we set off to walk from Icmeler over to Asparan. You guessed it she came with us all the way.We had to get a minibus to bring her back!! She seemed to realise when the transfer came to collect us that she had to move on.So it was a wag of the tail and a scratch of the tum and off into the beautiful Icmeler evening. Hope we see you again Dolly in June.
