Safety of Jeep Safari's?

Postby Chocoholic » 23 Aug 2012 22:19

Just seen this online;
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... d-car.html

I know ICR sell these trips (so sorry and remove it if you wish) but my Mum said a while ago when we went on one that she didn't think it was very safe squirting water as much as some do when there is a driver right there. I wasn't aware of any previous accidents but perhaps my Mum is right, we thought at the time she was grumpy as her hair got wet! Does anyone think it should be toned down a bit? Some seem to go crazy with the water and we got absolutely drenched, funny maybe for them but we were not that far behind the driver.

Not bad odds considering the number of these trips that occur daily.

Accidents happen in all walks of life and having been on a few jeep safaris, the water squirting happens with the jeeps are not travelling very fast on the dirt tracks.

You've probably got more chance of being hit by a bus whilst crossing the road so lets not blow this topic out of proportion.
