OK, I've got a few phrases learnt to have a polite greeting mini-conversation, things like, hello, good morning, how are you, I'm fine thank you, and you?, good evening & goodnight.

I'd like to learn a bit more for this time next year and I've found this site http://www.turkeytravelplanner.com/details/LanguageGuide/100words_lessons/ which seems quite good but it's the pronunciation I find the hardest.

Does anyone know of any good audio book type learning aids? Obviously the cheaper the better (or even better - FREE lol)

Take a look at www.byki.com this has Free Software for most languages including Turkish.

my wife bought me a Turkish language coarse from "earworm" from groupon for £5 normally £9 vewry very good. Only basics but quite comprihensive

I've just signed up with LiveMocha too, seems pretty good so far (especially the audio side as half of the battle is learning the pronunciation of the words lol).

Hopefully my pigeon-Turkish will be a little better this year
