I believe it's a main street in Istanbul.
It's known in English as Independence Street.

It leads off from Taxim Square in Istanbul and is one of the main shopping streets. Lots and lots of posh shops and eateries. It has an vintage Tram that runs along it (right down the middle) and around Taxim Square and returns.

Following on from Silverbeard, it is one of the most famous shopping streets in the world, so they say, seems to us to be more for the youngsters, lots of boutiques and shoe shops, but there are some very nice places to eat and drink, especially in the side streets but if you go to Istanbul you must give it a go. You can get a bus to Taksim Square or can go up the hill on the venicular railway from the Galata Bridge.
