Postby Mike Holmes » 08 Apr 2012 16:11

Hi out there. Does any one know the latest news about the Chef restuarant as we are coming to icmeler on the 20th April and the Chef is our favourite eating place. Also have the little shops reopened along the canal :?

Hi Mark. From photo's we have been sent of the Chef, it should be ready for the start of the season. It is also our favourite place to eat, and Erdal makes the wickedest tomato soup. As for the little shops along the canal, I don't think that they are ready yet, but by all accounts...once again, will be complete for the start of the season. Here's hopeing. Can't wait to get out there and see the alterations for ourselves :)

We have just returned from Icmeler where we visited the Chef Restaurant, building work is now complete and only the internal work needs completing. Thet re-open on the 7th May, unfortunately we left on the 4th.
There are some purpose built shop units about the sise of a car garage where the existing canal shops will be re-sited. Only one or two units open at the time we left Icmeler on the 4th May.

Chef restaurant is lovely - Sedat (Elvis) has done a great job.
It's modern, fresh and bright - and the food is up to its usual high standards.

Had a couple of lovely meals there a couple of weeks ago and highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't yet tried the food there.

Gave the Chef a miss last year as we were very disappointed the year before. The food wasn't very good and we waited a very long time for it to arrive. Don't know what the problem had been but a lot of people posted that they had problems there as well. Having said that I hope that this year they will be excellent once more, as it was always on our list of restaurants to visit.
