Steve, they should try to get to Loch Lomond, really lovely in that area. Or go over to Edinburgh its only 45 mins on the train, and its really nice just walking around Edinburgh city centre, the castle is also central. Other than that, and esp if the weather not too kind, Mary's suggestion is excellent, a scotch pie and a pint!

Excellent Jozzy, well done, you can do it girl. Put your money into a dish each day and watch it grow to give you a little more determination.

Eurovision

Postby dksbbs » 16 Feb 2009 17:25

I like the 2009 Turkish entry for the Eurovision contest, in fact I thnk it may be quite popular this summer.

It's a lot better than the British entry which in my opinion is a bit boring

Turkish one is definitely more upbeat, she was very Britney Spears i think. The British one is too maudlin

well done Jozyd - maybe we should have a "giving up the cancer stick" thread to go alongside the slimming one
maybe if we did, Gene would be kind enough to come up with one of his fab progress charts!?!

also, can't you get the patches, chewy etc free on NHS if you register with one of their clinics?

I think you just pay a prescription charge as normal it's not free. What i have spent is only 3 or 4 days cigarette money so i am not complaining. Please Gene would love a graph :)

Isnt it nice to see the nights getting lighter. I went for a 3 mile walk yesterday and the sun was shining, it was so refreshing not to have to wear gloves or a scarf. When I came out the shower last night, I actually had a little bit of sun-burn on my nose. Can you believe it, in February

Spring is just around the corner and I can see that everyone on here is already getting excited about returning to our little bit of paradise.
