Hi Jools,
I have also bought a new bikini for this years hol!

And its not til the end of August!! hehe! A few shops are now starting to display the summer collection

Love shopping for holiday outfits.
jools wrote:I'm putting the subjects of bikinis on the table! I bought my first 2 today and wondered if anyone else has gotten around to this yet?
I know it's early to think about this stuff, but it's the part I hate preparing for when I go on holiday since I always struggle with them! I was blessed (or cursed as it might seem!) with a big pair of boobs and a smaller bottom half.
So, I took advantage of the mix and match deals in BHS, who are the only high street retailers to really cater properly for me. (It always upsets me that M&S do such great underwear but don't take it as far as their swimwear!)
On this subject...what do you all prefer to wear on your hols? I only braved the bikini last year, although as a size 18 I felt like I might have been too bold/brave/foolish!
I'm hoping to get down to a 14 by the time I go away this year, but I've bought the bottoms in a 16 as they are a tie waist, so should do me for April and the summer.

Posted: Wed Jan 21, 2009 7:59 pm Post subject: Cats
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi all ,
CATS. !!!!!!!!!
I`am now going to ask for advice and hope I dont offend colette . ( From what I have read on this forum , her love for cats is LEGEND .).
We have 4 or 5 different cats that visit our garden daily, all of them belong to our close neighbours, NO problem with that!!!!
They are now doing the Number 1s + 2s all over the place
My parsley and basil that has lasted all winter is now the local toilet for the 4-5 cats in the area.
We dont have cats in the house for allergy reasons, but my wife loves them.
My question is .. . How can we without the use of a DOG or chemicals prevent them from doing what they do :
My mum says pepper.? My aunt says a small mirror? ( very confused)
Any suggestions welcome
Garry

Hi Gary
We had a similar problem with our own cat damaging plants, try `Scardy Cat`plants, plant them where ever you dont want cats, you should be able to get them from local garden centres.
They are not very expensive, and it DOES WORK.

Coleus canina.
Cats and dogs will avoid the Scardy Cat plant as it is otherwise known. Coleus canina has excellent foliage and small, attractive blue flowers in the summer and releases a scent that cats can't stand. Fortunately it only smells to the human nose when touched. Could this be the solution to your feline intruder problems!

Just had to share my amazing bargains with you all.
New Look sale is nearly over and there are still so many bits and bobs left over from the summer tucked away on those rales. I'm not usually one for rooting around, but I braved it this weekend and bagged myself the following items for my summer suitcase:
Coral skirt reduced from £30 to £7
White skirt reduced from £28 to £7
Peach t shirt reduced from £8 to £1
Orange & pink silk dress reduced from £30 to £3
and my ultimate bargain of bargains...
Green silk dress with butterfly embroidery reduced from £35 to £1!!!!!
Just goes to show there are some bargains to be had if you start early! Not to mention I stocked up on the strappy tops in Primark for 98p each haha. Don't mind spilling my cocktails down them at that price
Summer is coming! And I'm going to beat that credit crunch with all my might by bargain hunting

Well done Jools, some excellent bargains there.
I must get down there this week, thanks.

Been reading all your post about buying new clothes for holidays and now I'm even more fed up.
We were booked to go in July but now we know for sure we are unable to go then because of my husbands work commitments.
Not sure if I can say this but if anyone wants three return flight tickets to Turkey in July they are welcome to them. I paid £400 but will let go for any reasonable offer.
Send me a pm if interested.
Roll on September when we should be able to go!

Good luck Sanjo hope all goes well

Here's a really unfortunate story for you all.
A body was found in my town on Monday and they thought the man had been murdered by stabbing.
However, watching CCTV and examining the wound, it turns out that he was drunk on a Saturday night, leant against a tree and was stabbed by a branch.
He consequently stumbled through an area of the town, eventually collapsing and dying from his tree stab wounds.
It's so sad, but it sounds so surreal that I had to share.

Sorry to make you feel worse Sanjo, it's such a shame. I hope you get to sell your tickets.
I hope everyone else finds a couple of nice bargains in the last of the January sales too! Mine are now tucked away in my new holiday drawer. It's the best bit about gearing up to hols!!
