The new 15kg is going to hit the shops in resort big time. Everyone will be to frightened to buy anything to take back due to the charges of excess baggage which is a real shame for the traders. just for example we normally bring back turkish delight at least 6 boxes. wont be this year. And there will be no boxer shorts for prezzies either. Oh well only 6 more sleeps and we will be in beautiful ICMELER Happy Holidaying see you all soon. Just about to start the packing my 15 kg !! soooo excited

You could always get the extra 5 kg they sell

This 15kg is just another ploy and will get you both ways.

If you pay for it then you think well I have paid extra.

If you don't pay for it then believe me you will pay them on the way back even if you are 1kg over weight.

They sell it at 15kg just to make the flight look cheap when advertised.

Had to pay an extra £8 each way for extra 5kg but think its worth it when you hear what they're charging at the airports

Know the feeling Sunny, we were nearly charged for a full extra suitcase we didnt have!, but was 1kg over on way out from Mcr, but the queue was that horrendous on the Monarch flight that the nice guy said be careful coming home, but we were carrying Hp sauce and booze for Vince as well so that didnt help.

Thats why our cases are quite heavy going out too, cos I have 2 bottles of whisky wrapped up in towels, at least it gives us a bit of weight to play with for coming back.

Might do that myself for October, they are on special offer in Somerfield at the moment and I have 20kg allowance with not too much to bring as we left all our summer clothes when we were there in June.

Buy your booze from the Uk airports. We bought 2 x bacardi for £16 and Vodka and Archers was slightly dearer £22 for the 2 I think. so that went in hand luggage.

The new Biza shop at T1 at Manchester does seem to stock all spirits now so now we dont need to use our valuable lluggage weight up. Especially if its all 15kgs next year.
