Hi Icmelites. I have just read the topic on the village tour and i dont know if i did wrong last year!! I always feel safe in Icmeler and last year i went on a very long walk by myself. I went all around the old village and said Merhaba to all the Turkish people and they allwere very very pleasant.The only trouble was,i was wearing a T shirt and shorts Would they have been offended? I dont think they would be offended we walk round and say that to them, their faces light up as you have made the effort to speak the language

Some Turkish women wear traditional sort of garb, some wear a headscarf, others wear no headscarf and shorts
