Amy, whi don't you just try a glass of wine first before going to the expense of buying a bottle, its sold by the glass in all the restaurants, can't remember how much though. In fact, some places you get a free glass with a Sunday lunch, I know Florida do that.

I love my wine and it's mostly what i drink in turkey. I'm a white wine girl myself but i know Richards place do rose wine and i'm sure Venice do too.

For a glass in most places expect to pay around 5/6 lira (10 lira in eastenders :-O), the glasses aren't exactly large either. Better value to get a bottle unless you're only planning on having 1 or 2 glasses! With the size of the wine glasses over in Icmeler you get about 6 glasses out of a bottle!

Hi

I just got back yesterday and we had white and rose wine. If you ask for the house wine its cheaper. We had different ones and liked all of them. The cheapest is the Majestic and Florida which is 15 lira a bottle.

Hope its as hot when you go as it was for us it was 55 degrees one day. Phew!

I am a fussy wine lover and have asked if I could try a taste before commiting to purchasing a bottle. Hence I've had plenty of free glasses first. I usually like fruity white German. Villa Dolluca was OK but at 28L in restaurants we went to. Majestic housewine is surprisingly good for 15L. (free with Th* C* Icmeler map advert). Once found your favorite wine, I would ask for it even though it is not on wine list. There's a good chance a waitor would nip out to get it , as Dreamboys did. Cheers :D :D

With a lot of set meals in various restaurants you now get a bottle of wine included for two people-I know this is the case at Majestic with one of their chinese set meals and the Taj Mahal with their set meal. Villa Dolucia is really nice though and the white is lovely with ice.
